Q:If you do not recommend this product for an unheated 3 seasons room, which of your product would you recommend? Our location is Michigan.

A:  Thanks for your question. All of our products must be climate controlled at all times so there aren't any we'd recommend. We don't make all of the flooring products that Home Depot carries though so they might have something that would work. I'd recommend contacting them directly because they often don't see these question.

    Q:So there?s no pre-attached pad? I would be laying over vinyl tearing up the carpet and using it in a home on a slab no basement. I?m female so I have to ask before I purchase is the underlayment necessary.. does It provide extra cushion and warmth?

      A:  Thanks for your question. I would recommend asking Home Depot directly (either in store, calling homedepot.com, or through the online chat.) They often do not see these questions. Since the Cap A Tread and trim pieces are made by a different manufacturer than the flooring, we don't have access to that info.

          Worst Brand of Vinyl Plank
          WARNING: This vynil planking is by far the worst I have ever used. The connecting grooves are poor quality, and start to fail after a year. It also scratches far easier than flooring half it’s price. Over all, I have i purchase all other types of supplies from Home Depot (Appliances, countertops, tile, plumbing, carpet, etc) and the quality in all those category’s are good. HOWEVER, this flooring is terrible and they do not stand behind it (at least the Sioux City, IA location).

            Flooring arrived 4 days earlier. A pleasure to work with this product. I’ve installed the Lifeproof product several times now. I did invest the $69 to buy the vinyl plank cutter which was a great way to keep the dust down and was able to keep cutting right in my work area. Looks fantastic. Love the tight butt and horizontal seams.
