How grey is Grey Wind Forest? On my computer screen it looks more tan/off-white (which I prefer)....

AnswersJust got a box. Grey. No beige vibe at all. Was SO hoping it would be like in the main sample square pic. To me, it's akin to TrafficMaster/Allure Sandpiper Oak but this has more even toned planks where Sandpiper has some darker boards (that I wouldn't use). Grain is soft/pleasant/not insane/crazy/jarring so at least they got that right. It's unfortunate there is no 'light but a tad warm' options for us. If Grey Wind Forest actually looked like the sample in the ad, I'd be all over it. Lifeproof - you really need to 'try' to take accurate photos. BTW - there is NO Bevel despite what a rep is saying here. Thankfully.

AnswersPlease note I chimed in here earlier and I was WRONG. I believed the Rep here and the misleading photos in the ad. There is NO BEVEL. ZERO. NOT even a 'micro' bevel. It's smooth and flush/contiguous. Ignore the photos showing a Bevel and ignore the Company Rep answering questions insisting there is one. It's very sad one has to buy a box of flooring to learn such basic things.

AnswersYes. My floor was installed directly on the basement floor without the need for a pad. The floor looks good. Is even and the floor doesn't feel cold to walk on.There is a little "spring" that makes it easy to walk on without putting strain on your knees or back. I would recommend this for a basement floor.

Home Depot installed and it turned out beautiful! I like this floor because it is actually very bright and neutral with hints of grey, tan and white. It seems to hide dust well.

This product would not interlock properly in many spots leaving unacceptable gaps. This is not due to installer error, since it was installed by Home Depot.

This review is for the Lifeproof Henlopen Grey Oak. We had a difficult time with these because we had to constantly check to make sure we were not putting two of the same planks next to each other. There seems to be only 7 different patterns so this slowed the process way down because we couldn't just grab and go. These don't have the best locking edges we've ever used either. I read comments about these coming apart and hope that won't be the case. I gave these a try because I could use my Home Depot credit with no interest for 12 months so I hope I'm not sorry. At least it's beautiful, especially with these "Smoky White" cabinets (color from Home Depot). Bright LED lights really help. In warm lighting they look more on the darker grey side. I'll update if they start separating regularly.

the attached pictures are a small example of the gaps that are appearing throughout the entire floor. All joints were tight with no gaps when the installation was complete. These gaps and hundreds of others have appeared over the 1 month that the floor has been installed.
Great for Bathroom

I placed this vinyl plank flooring right over my bathroom tile floor. It is a great addition to the bathroom and it is waterproof so I don't have to worry about getting it wet. It goes together easy and practically snaps into place. I did use a tap tool to make sure the seams are locked. If you are redoing any room in your house this is a great product. I have also done my bedroom and it looks great.

Yes, it's pretty -- though slightly more grey than the picture shows. However, you MUST mop it every 2-3 days or dirt comes up in the cracks. My dad says he thinks it's moisture coming from the bottom. To me, it seems like dirt on top. If you scrub it REALLY hard, it almost goes away. But I feel like the edges of the planks are getting damaged from being scrubbed. I have no problem keeping my floors clean -- I run the robo vac every other day and would generally mop once a week -- but this is a little crazy. No other floor I've ever had is such high maintenance. Contractors that have been working 30+ years in the industry installed it, and even recommended it, because they've installed it in others' homes. But now, I'm reading in the comments that this may be some lower quality? I'm quite disappointed.
The pic below shows a spot in a high-traffic area that hasn't been mopped in 3-4 days.

We used the autumn harvest grey oak to cover some linoleum in our dining area. It was so easy my 9-year-old was putting in a lot of it after the prep-work was done. We live on a farm and this is also the room to enter our home, so time will tell if it holds up to kids and large dogs and farm boots. It seems very durable and it looks beautiful. In the early morning light it looks reddish, but in daylight it looks darker with gray undertones. Overall, we are very happy with it. Will update if anything changes.
