The footprint impressions will stay until you vacuum.

Great carpet!
Seriously comfortable carpeting. We used memory foam for the padding and are very happy with it. I had a piece of carpeting left so I put it in the basement. My cat threw up on it so I left it to see how it cleans up. After I picked it up I shampooed the carpet. There was absolutely no trace of it. We love this carpet.

The actual color of the carpet is a bit different from the sample
The quality of the carpet is good, but the actual color is a bit lighter than sample. It doesn’t really match with my house. Not ugly.

Color does not quite match
I like the carpet overall but I think I hate the actual color. I think the color is different from their sample. Lighter and more gray. Attached is a picture of it compared to the sample. You decide. Next time I would go with a different brand.

Breathtaking carpet!
We did a lot of research and went to many local places before deciding, since we were re-doing an entire condo of carpet. Life proof with triexta is a great quality for the price (it’s actually made by Mohawk). We ended up going with the higher density lifeproof II (very important to get that plush feel that doesn’t mat down), in the color Mink. It ended up being the perfect “grayge”! Brightened up the whole condo! And the installers did a wonderful job, no seams are visible and they stretched it properly. So happy we went with Home Depot as it did save us money compared to other places. I was nervous about the installation but it was all excellent.
One thing I will add: Don’t think you necessarily need the “higher end” memory foam carpet pad!! Not only is Home Depot’s a little over the recommended thickness for padding (7/16 inch is the maximum recommended to keep the carpet from coming up), but foam pads in general also will NOT last as long, as the density is so low. All the local carpet experts recommended regular rebond padding with 7/16 inch thickness max; this will last longer than a foam pad. Call me crazy but knowing this, I actually blind-tested each of the pad samples at Home Depot with the lifeproof overtop, and I thought the cheaper 6 pound trafficmaster was the most comfortable anyway! So we got the basic 6 pound trafficmaster padding (8 pound for the stairs) and the carpet is still extremely plush and cushy. (Now this does nullify the carpet warranty, but the warranty isn’t really worth anything anyway, as all they would do for a stain, etc, is to cut out that square of carpet and replace that one spot.. which you could hire someone to do even without the warranty!)
Just my little recommendation based on way too many hours of research. Overall we are very happy with this carpet and the installation. Great job, Home Depot!
