Questions & Answers

Is this unit use a regular 110 outlet ?

Asked by: Youngster
Yes, regular use outlet works fine, must be the three prong type though, not two. Also do not have anything else plugged into the same outlet. You should not need to rewire your home electric box

how cold of enviroment can I put this in. I live in Utah and want to come home from skiing and sit in my hot tub while its snowing.

The average low during winter is around 25 degrees at night and around 40 during the day.
Asked by: Skidaddy
I live in the south where the weather is not too cold most of the winter. However, I made the mistake of going away overnight and left the cover folded back and totally exposed to 25 degree air letting the water get down to 81 degrees. I closed the cover when I got home five hours ago and the outside air temperature is still 25 degrees. However, the water in the hot tub is now up to 89 degrees which is not much of an increase but considering how cold it is outside it is still heating at about 1.5 or so degrees an hour. The overnight temperature is forecast to be around 18 and I plan to be in the tub in the morning. Yes, it takes longer to heat in the colder air but I am sure once it reaches 102, which is where I keep the temperature of the hot tub, it will maintain the temperature with no problem with the cover on. Last week I got in the tub with the outside air at 23 degrees and the water temp dropped about 2 degrees in an hour which is about my maximum at 102 degrees. We are very, very happy so far with the hot tub.

Customer Reviews

Bermuda (LS100) 13-jet, 4-Person Spa is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 110.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great hot tub!! solid and beautiful I spent months looking online for a hot tub that fit in my budget but had quality features. I was nervous to buy online but after reading the reviews decided to try this one. So glad I did!! It is easy to set up, fits into a regular 110v 15amp outlet and fills within one hour. After filling the temperature was 65 degrees and 9 hours later is 85 degrees and climbing. I expect will be 101 by morning (<24 hours). Be prepared to have help moving the hot tub as the delivery is curbside only. Is easy to move at 240lbs dry weight however just need 4 adults because of the size. The chemical balance was easy to achieve (I only had to add pH minus and chlorine to get all the values in range). The cover is SO nice, not sure why they don't show the cover in the product photos since it is a big plus so I included some here. Also some photos of the lights (since I was frustrated they didn't show that online). You won't be sorry if you buy this tub, is reasonably priced and so easy to use!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I have had very expensive spas and cheap ones. I wanted something a little smaller that would perform as good as a high end spa. This spa is all I was looking for. I have had it a month now, and has only added $25-30 to elec. bill. When I purchased this spa, HomeDepot had a free upgrade about $1400 worth of extras. You must get it with the ozoneater. Makes the spa virtually maintenace free. The jets have a powerful out put. And I love the water fall. I could go on forever about what I like. Very comfortable & sturdy, must have is the thick insulated cover, You will have to hire someone to move the spa to desired location. Curbside delivery is just that. It took about 2 weeks to come, filled it up and plugged it in. 24hrs later It was heated and ready to use. It's like being on vacation everyday with this beautiful spa on my back patio! Fits 2-3 people very comfortably love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad we bought this! We've had two other spas during our lives. This one is the smallest, but it is just as comfortable. We like the jets. Each seat has a slightly different choice of jets, and we appreciate the variety. It is quieter than our previous (larger) spa. And it uses less electricity. Two people fit easily and three fit as long as they are all polite. Haven't tried it with four. It will work, but you better like each other. Two things I'd like to see to make it perfect - 1 -foot jets. And 2 - cupholders. In the two spots that look perfect for setting your drink, the walls are angled so the drink won't sit. We used marine appoxy and glued coasters on marbles in the two spots to create a drink surface. It works, but I can't understand why the design didn't take cold beverages into consideration. The waterfall is a little lame, but the different colored light feature is great! We also appreciate the good quality insulation. We are so glad we bought it after our previous one finally breathed its last bubble. We love it and recommend it.

They said they would only deliver to the curb, but the driver loaded it from the truck onto a hand cart and helped me slide it into place on my back porch, which was great. In any event, it's surprisingly light - I was able to do do the final positioning myself. Filled it up, added the encyclopedia of chemicals called for, and it was 106 degrees in 24 hours. Very fun, easy to use. Still trying to figure out how to keep the chemical levels in check - I'm new to tubs. It doesn't seem to draw that much power though, as I haven't noticed much difference in my electric bills these first two months - so that is a plus as well. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the tub has no cup holders - which may sound small, but is a bit of a pain. I ended up buying two clip0on trays (for another $60) that serve the purpose beautifully - just be aware. It says 4 person, but really it's a comfortable 2 person tub. All in all, I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bang for the Buck After scouring the local market, I finally decided to go with this hot tub and couldn't be happier thus far. The product is exactly as described and the fit and finish are up to par with more expensive models. The added value package is a must and enhances the overall spa. The only suggestions for improvement would be: 1) Spa should come with a chemical starter kit and guide (helpful to newbies like me), 2) Cover latches should be installed at the factory (you have to line up the cover and attach the provided hardware yourself and there are no guide markings), 3) Would be nice if it came on a temporary wheeled pallet as it is very heavy (350lbs) and hard to move without at least four strong people. Overall, very happy with my first spa!

We have had it for 4 years and have never had any issues. This unit added less than $50 a month to our electricity bill here in Hawaii so maybe half that on the mainland. I keep it at 104 degrees year round and we use it almost daily. Only one issue was that the motor and pump wore out after about 4 years, but not a big deal, I ordered a new one, which was about $350 and replaced it myself.

I bought this about two years ago,and I love it the only down fall is the control panel gets damp and refuses to work. After I take the cover off and turn on I cant control the panel, it will run but that's all. It sometimes will come back to life after the moisture goes away. And only two people can fit comfortably cant imagine four at all..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great hot tub! We purchased this hot tub in September. Pros- Heats up to a hot temperature, is low-maintenence, nice controls and lights, interesting waterfall feature and is the perfect size for two but also fits friends. Cons- The company took a VERY long time to ship (4 weeks purchase to house), and did not provide hardly any information about when it would arrive- but you have to take off to be there when it does because they won't put it in place for you. The people who I spoke to on the phone put in very little effort; delivery was delayed for 3 days because someone didn't return a voicemail for that long to confirm purchase. Also, I tried asking the company what chemicals if any the hot tub would come with (answer- none) and which we should purchase so we could have it running ASAP, and she had NO idea, nor could she put me in contact with anyone who knew anything about the chemicals needed. We had to wait till after the tub and manual were here to see what we needed to purchase; if it's your first time buying a hot tub like us, I recommend just going to Home Depot's pool section and talking to someone, they were much more helpful! ALSO- to satisfy the requirements for warranty, we had to have an extra GFI run to the back yard to plug it in directly, which took another week (while it's a "plug 'n play", using an extension cord is prohibited). The plug runs from the "waterfall" side, and is really short- if it's running around the tub it only goes about 4' past. We had to get a GFI put into the proper spot for about $250 extra. Although the delivery/installation was a trial, the hot tub itself has been well worth it! We are out there several times a week and the lights and jets are wonderful. I think for us it has really been worth it and I would recommend this product to others- no need to buy a more expensive spa, this one is perfect!
