Q:I would like to connect them by creating a single 8 x 8 square to make a sand box.
by|Apr 13, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  The wall parts do not have a straight edge to connect them side by side rather than a 90 degree angle so there is not a way to make it that size.

Q:Once filled with soil, do these garden beds end up bowing outward over time?

    Answer This Question

A:  I've had them for three years now and they have not bowed. Mine are all set up single layer.

    by|Feb 7, 2021

A:  I have one set up as a single height and the other 2 stacked (attached together as per instructions). I set them up 2 or 3 years ago and last season I noticed the double stack had separated on one side and a particularly sturdy weed was growing out between the beds. It is bowing a bit in that area but other than that have not noticed significant bowing in the single layer bed.

      by|Feb 4, 2021

A:  Not at all. I stack two for a deeper raised bed.

      by|Feb 7, 2021

A:  No, they should not bow out at all.

        by|Feb 4, 2021

A:  Not in 4 years! They look as good as new, unlike the wood boxes I had before which couldn't even last 4 years! Because I am in the low desert in AZ we put one on top of another and they are just PERFECT!

Q:Can I paint them? They are the right size for my project but the wrong color!

            Answer This Question

A:  They are heavy duty plastic. You can probably paint them with spray paint used specifically for plastic patio furniture.

            by|Oct 23, 2020

A:  We do not recommend painting these. The paint does not adhere well to the plastic, especially when it will be watered regularly and the paint will likely peel and get into whatever you are growing. It will also void your warranty.

              by|Oct 23, 2020

A:  Would you paint a plastic bucket (like a home depot one?) It is that sort of plastic but a much better grade. If you would then I would say go ahead. For me the color is perfect with all the greenery that soon grows in there my emphasis is on what I grow in them. IF you aren't growing in them, paint them. I have some three years old that look like new, if your paint job can keep that, go for it!

                    Very satisfied
I bought my first beds about 7 years ago they still look great! I’ve started stacking 2 now so I don’t have to bend over so much. I have grown vegetables and flowers in them. The service is wonderful too if you ever have to call which you probably won’t.

Lifetime's Raised Garden Beds are great
These raised beds are terrific! I purchased two 3-packs and two single beds. My gardens grew beautifully. The beds are easy to put together and look nice in my yard.

Good quality, I will buy more
I am very happy with the quality and ease of assembly, but I wish it came with two covers or Corner posts to put and mesh fence around to keep the bunnies out

This is the 3rd yearly 3-pack of these garden boxes I've purchased from Home Depot as I replace the wood boxes I've built and bought over the years. They're easy to assemble (I staple chicken wire on the bottoms to frustrate the gophers) They don't lose water or rot and they last much longer than wood. I get great production by using these

                    Best garden boxes around!
Had these for years and they're still just as perfect as day one! I have 4 currently and will eventually take out my Cedar garden boxes for these!

I have had an outdoor 12 x 12 garden for many years but the soil is not good and the critters seem to eat anything that does grow. I bought these raised bed gardens a couple weeks ago and finally had a chance this weekend to setup my garden. I bought two units so that I could have at least an 8 x 8 area to grow vegetables and herbs. The assembly took one hour per each. Then buying and filling with good dirt from Home Depot took another two hours. Planting took about an hour with seeds and starter plants. The units assembled easily and are light enough to move from the assembly ground to the garden. The instructions were all visual so there was a little bit of interpretation (I like both written and visual instructions). I did have to level the soil (which was noted in the instructions). I think the garden is beautiful now with these raised bed units.

best square foot garden box available
Had 3 of these at my old home. No deterioration in 3-4 years. Color still strong (dark grey). Construction solid. Use a lightweight medium to fill-if you use garden dirt sides may bulge a bit. You want a loose medium anyway for increased production. A very attractive box, even in it's "old" age! Just purchased two more for new home.

                        Product fit our need
The set up took a while because the pictures in the instruction sheets were not very clear. We managed to put them together by guessing. We could not figure out the purpose of the screws. The rhomboid smaller plastic kept getting dislodged. However, we are pleased with the final result and hope the beds will contain the soil and the plants therein.

                        Great Purchase!
We recently moved and put in a new garden. It is a wonderful product. We used them 2 high for ease of planting, weeding, etc. Very happy. Easy to put together and take apart. They could be used differently year to year if desired.
