This is actually a good question. In my case I was replacing worn out springs. The Lift-o-Mat does come with brackets. But I used the brackets from my old springs since the angle of one of the supplied brackets would have required me to relocate the brackets on my cabinet and its door. It was much less work to just use the old brackets which fit just fine. You will need to find small screws appropriate to your application. None are supplied.

no just the springs. They are meant to replace ones like I did with a diamond plate kobalt truck box. Use standard ball joint like a car hatchback.

What is the extended length?

The fully extended length is 10" which is what you see in the picture of our cabinet held open by the spring. The spring compresses to about 8" as the door closes as shown in the second picture.
