ColorMotion 24-Light Multi-Color Deluxe Christmas Icicle LED String Light

I purchased 4 sets of these lights in 2017 and a 5th in 2018. In 2019 2 of the sets no longer worked and would not be replaced via Gemmy or Home Depot. I purchased 2 new sets in December 2020 to replace the defective ones and now those 2 new sets purchased last month are no longer working. 1 set is very dim and the second does not work at all. Plus one of the older sets is now only working intermittently. So out of 7 sets purchased 5 are no longer working and the ones that do work are all out of sync. Looks like other reviewers are having the same problem. Dont waste your money on these!

I saw these lights when I went to HD in late Nov. and decided to buy 3 sets to decorate my house. I got them home and opened the boxes and each box only has a short strand of lights with 12 icicles on each strand, not 24. I didn’t put it together until we bought another 5 sets from a different HD and realized those strands are the full size with 24 icicles. Not sure what happened here. I do really like the lights. But it’s a much worse value to only get half the length. They do seem pretty expensive. Like someone else mentioned, the strands laid up differently. I am not sure how to coordinate so they all flash the same pattern.

We bought 5 boxes of these and I was very excited to get the put on our roofline. However, after we put them up and plugged them all in, end to end, they do not do the same thing at the same time. I’ve added a picture. If anybody has a suggestion, I’d love to hear it before I throw them in the trash!

The Colormotion Icicle Light String is made by Lightshow and it has so many color variations and eight different light effects. There are 24 icicle bulbs there are two different lengths, 8 - 6 ½” long and 16 - 4 ½ long. I measure the lens only not the total length of the unit. The total length of the string is 24’-5” Ft and the total length from the first bulb to last bulb is 23’. Each string is rated at 12 watts (0.1 Amps). With a maximum of 216 watts (1.8 Amps) total. That is 18 sets you can connect end to end. They are rated for indoor and outdoor use. I love the fact that is they use only .1 Amps. That’s going to save on the electric bill. The plug does have a replaceable fuse if it happens to blow a fuse. The units are made in China. I can not wait to put these up in December.

I am the kind of person that gets excited for Christmas in August. So when I came across the LightShow Color Motion 24-Light Multi-Color Deluxe Christmas Icicle LED String Light I just had to add them to my collection. I moved a couple of years ago and got rid of almost all of my outdoor Christmas decorations. They were either too old or out of date. Now I am building my Christmas lights up again slowly. They arrived via Fed Ex in a couple of days packaged well for shipment. I opened the box, located the instructions and sat down and looked them over. This set has 24 Icicle Bulbs that have eight effects and different colors. They change from color to color like a strobe light. The string is 23 feet long that you can connect together with up to 18 other strands. You can use them either indoor or outdoor. I will use them outdoor on my front roof line together with various other LightShow sets. I took the light set out of the box, plugged them into the wall to see what they would do. With the temperature still in the upper 80’s I strung the lights out on my kitchen counter. Wow, how beautiful. The LightShow Color Motion Set has dimmable highly efficient LED lights and the colors are very deep and vibrant. Most light sets are not dimmable so that will be a nice asset. There are 24 large Icicle lights that when not plugged in are all clear. The top that connects to the wire is white and says “NOEL” in red letters. A nice addition this year from last. The Color Motion lights change from Red to Green to White, then to Blue to Purple to Pink and then Clear. The lights also blink in a strobe like pattern and then they flicker on and off then up and down. Then they speed up and the colors added are orange and yellow. I am completely satisfied and I can’t wait to hang the LightShow ColorMotion lights on my roof line for Christmas. I will have to purchase a couple more sets to cover the front of my house, but that's okay.

The ColorMotion Multi-color deluxe Icicle light string displays a beautiful light show and will add a flare to my holiday decorations.The pre-programmed display changes colors, fades and flashes with solid colors and mixed color combinations. The icicles are made of a heavy plastic and have facets in them that causes the lights to sparkle and shine. The light string is approximately 24 feet long with icicles every foot.

We love these Colormotion LED icicle light strings. They change colors, and also flash on and off (like strobe lights) intermittently. There are 24 multicolored very large icicles. The string is very substantial and a little over 23 feet and you can connect up to 18 sets. The set can be used indoors or outdoors. We will use these lights around the holidays.

Only lasted 1 season, 2 months and 2 out of the 3 sets no longer work. Save your time and money, these are junk.

Bought four strands and none of them lasted past three weeks. Even with as little faith as I had about the quality of Christmas lights I still expected MUCH longer life for the money. These are expensive lights and couldn’t have been more disappointed in this product. I see plenty of other reviews just like this. Home Depot can’t be happy with this product. We’ll be seeking a refund.

Loved them while both sets worked.2 weeks ago 1 set stopped working. I didn't realize it at the time. It was the first string in a series of 2. We took them down and brought them inside. Replaced both fuses and they somewhat worked. Looked like they were dim. Left them lnside overnight and they didn't work the next day! I threw that set away. A lot of money spent for a short period. Not very impressed with the quality.
