The Lilly Miller UltraGreen 10 lb. Tomato and Vegetable Plant Food blends natural ingredients with traditional plant foods to produce a fertilizer packed with the essential minerals and nutrients your vegetables need for optimal growth. This plant food feeds your tomatoes and other vegetables continuously for up to 6 weeks. At planting time: Sprinkle 2 &3/4 cups of Ultragreen® Tomato & Vegetable Food evenly over each 50 sq. ft. (5' x 10') of vegetable garden area. Mix it into the soil to a depth of 3-6 inches along with any compost or other soil amendments you are adding. For a single plant - tomato, pepper, artichoke - or for vegetables in containers: Mix 1/4 cup of fertilizer into the soil befor eyou set in the vegetable plant. During the Season (about every 6 weeks): For established vegetable gardens: Sprinkle 2/3 cup of fertilizer alongside every 25 feet of row. Keep the fertilizer at least 3 inches away from the plants, and mix it lightly into surface of the soil. Do not disturb shallow plant roots. For single plants or plants in containers: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons in a circle around the plant. Keep plant food at least 3 inches away from the plants and mix it lightly into the surface of the soil. Do not disturb plant foots. Over-feeding tomatoes, peppers, melons, and squash can mean smaller fruit with less flavor. Don't be tempted to "give it a little extra."
