So much value for your money!
This kit from Lincoln Electric includes a welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves, a doo-rag, wire brush, chipping hammer, welding magnet and a pain marker.
The gloves were plain and comfortable. The welding sleeves easily stayed in place but I felt they were extremely tight on my upper arm causing discomfort. The doo-rag was easy to use and was comfortable. I was MIG welding for my testing so I did not have the opportunity to try the brush or the ship hammer but they appeared to be of good quality. The welding magnet worked well and surprisingly had no manufacture name on it.
The welding helmet has a lot of adjustability. One can adjust the fore/aft depth between the eyes and the lens, the tilt of the helmet, the stiffness of rotation, head size, sensitivity of the lens (how quickly it changes from light to dark), delay of the lens switching from dark to light and the darkness level of the lens (grind and 7-13 welding shades).
The shade cartridge is powered by two AA batteries (included) and they are recharged via a solar panel. The cartridge only has two ARCS sensors but it performed very well in my testing with MIG welding. I really like the external shade adjustment. This is so much easier to use than having a dial on the internal shade that requires removing the helmet to adjust. This helmet also supports 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 magnification cheater lenses.

Comprehensive
I recommend this welding safety kit from Lincoln. The auto darkening helmet really helps beginners and experienced welders alike. This helmet lets you see what is going on before an arc is struck. Seeing the position of the tip of the welder really helps to get started correctly. This kit also includes gloves and sleeves which are definitely helpful from a safety concern. The magnet and slag hammer are useful as well. This kit is definitely a good purchase for anyone just getting started in mig-welding.

Entire kit is great. Helmet is easy to adjust and performs amazingly. Great kit for general welding use. Arm sleeves will be great in warm weather. Used kit while repairing lifting forks. Selected for auto-darkening helmet and to upgrade old welding tools. Helmet is worth the price of this kit. Huge time saving, safe, easy to use. Another excellent Lincoln Electric product. Highly satisfied and recommend.

Everything a beginner welder needs
I was gifted a pre-owned Lincoln Electric Weld Pak H.D. Wire Feed Welder, because I wanted to teach myself how to weld. As a result I was in need of welding accessories and the Lincoln Electric Black Glossy Welding Helmet Kit was just what I needed. The kit contains an auto darkening welding helmet, leather welding gloves, a welding brush, a flame retardant doo rag, welding sleeves, a multi-purpose magnet, a chipping hammer, and a paint marker; essentially everything a beginner welder needs. The quality of all the items in the kit is top notch, which one would expect from Lincoln Electric. For the price point this kit is one heck of a value.

Awesome welding kit!
I absolutely love this welding kit! A couple months ago I bought a flux core welder for basic home welding needs. I used the standard face shield that came with the welder once and vowed to never do it again. Thus making the decision to get an auto darkening helmet when I came across this kits availability. Lincoln Electric has always been a big name in welding and these products are a great reason why. This kit came complete with everything I could need for my household welding needs, auto darkening helmet (with spare glass inserts) welding hammer, magnet, wire brush, paint pen and all the necessary protective equipment minus a jacket (Gloves, Sleeves & Bandana) The welding gloves are very nice and high quality gloves. The flame retardant welding sleeves and bandana are a nice touch to keep you from welding splatter. Piecing together your own equipment can be time consuming and get expensive, you cant beat the value and contents of this kit if you ask me!
