Will this adhere stainless steel sheets to laminate kitchen countertops?
Asked by: Jeff
If your counter top is made from Formica, Fuze it will bond the stainless steel very well. The trick is going to to be keeping the stainless flat until the bond has cured. If the stainless is a roll it will have a tendency to want to lift. You will need to place boards with weights to keep the stainless steel flat. Should any area not bond completely there is a possibility of air getting trapped and this would cause a bubble that will never go away. Use the internet to look up how to apply veneer, which is what you are doing just not wood on wood. Or if the stainless is thick enough to be a flat sheet, then your job will be easy. Good Luck with your project

I need to bond a small strip of aluminum trim as a baseboard to glossy porcelain tile. Will this work? If not is there a better product? Thanks!
Asked by: Rob
It probably would but I would recommend an all purpose glue. My concern about using this product is not that it would not bond but the thickness of the bond might not be attractive. This adhesive goes om and dries with a bead the is fairly thick. You may want to use a glue that bonds with less thickness.

I gave 4 stars in hopes that anyone concerned might notice there is an issue. The adhesive is so thick it was very difficult and slow to squeeze it out of the caulk gun. I could not get enough out to finish my job before it began to set up. I'm an amateur so I'll admit I might have made some mistake. I was attempting to glue down an old counter-top surface which had come loose. I would have used contact cement but could not access the full surface because 3 sides were still fixed in place. The project surface was about 2 ft. x 3 ft. Room temperature about 60 degrees. I cut ever larger holes in the end of the product tube yet I did not have the strength on the caulk gun trigger to force out the adhesive at anything but a snail's pace. Maybe there is some kind of more powerful caulk gun. I hurried to finish, not dispensing as much as I wanted since the label said it starts to set up in 10 minutes. I pressed the surface down with large cinder bricks and in the end, it seemed to have worked OK. I chose this because it's "all surface" and does look like it would stick to about anything.

A reply mentioned to check the expiration date because the adhesive was hard and dried up. I have 2- tubes and can't find the expiration date. Is there a way to stop the glue from drying up in a partially used tube? I had to cut the top of tube completely off to use what was left in the tube to use on a few pavers. I noticed the cap on the bottom of the tubes has changed so it won't blow out easily with pressure in the gun. Maybe come up with an idea to fix this problem?? I read alot of complaints about this problem. Great product otherwise!

I used this product ot affix some lego style base plates to 1/2 inch plywood for a lego table for my grandsons. The adhesive went on well, set up fairly quickly and made a sturdy bond. The base plates will undergo a lot of pulling as the boys change designs and move the bricks into different configurations but it seems like the adhesive will handle the forces and keep the plates in place.

I did a complete fireplace install of rock ledger strips with Fuze It.Not a single stone fell off during the installation process and now that it is set it is super secure. I applied directly over drywall. Great product, only problem is it is expensive when you are using 45 tubes !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an outstanding product I have used Fuze it on a very unusual bonding condition. I had a metal face plate that came with my shower. The plate covered the hole required for the on / off lever for water flow. The face plate should have been able to be screwed into a piece behind the tile. It was an impossible task. I had over 10 people try including plumbers, but no avail. So I used FUZE IT to bond the face plate to glazed tile. It worked perfectly and is holding very well to metal and polished tile. I have also made gaskets with FUZE IT by creating a bead of adhesive on wax paper. I drew a circle of where the I.D & O.D needed to be. The gasket is very sturdy and still somewhat pliable. I think FUZE IT is only limited by your imagination. I think that this is the best most versatile adhesive on the market. I does not foam like many adhesives available hence providing better sealing qualities
