SPEX Lighting-4-in. Tunable RGB/White New Construction Smart WiFi Connected by WIZ Canless Integrated LED Baffle Fixture

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have previously purchased 80 Liteline LED slim pot-lights 2 years ago, attracted by their lifetime warranty. I've loved my pot-lights, and have had no issues with any of them. and am amazed by the low power usage and quality of light. This product is made by Liteline as well, and is way more advanced than my models. Install is a breeze, Colour saturation and brightness is top notch, connects fast (3 seconds) on power restore at the breaker. Magnetic customizable trim is a nice bonus, although I'm sticking with the white. The Wiz control software has really matured, and is now being offered by a number of manufactures. It works seamlessly with my smart home software. One interesting feature was the ability to use this as a grow light as well. I can now happily keep some plants in my dim bathroom. Another cool feature is the sunrise mode. Where it will increase brightness and colour temperature very slowly, mimicking a sunrise, to more naturally and gently wake you up. I'll have to buy another set for the bedroom. The only downside I found is that you'll want to keep all the pot-lights on the same switched circuit be the same model. I found when mixed with my other pot-lights, these take a half second longer to turn on not a big deal but annoying. Overall I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of this product.

The electrical box was well constructed with thick aluminum. The LED syncs with the app with ease and with all the color options and light temperatures it can be customized to all room types. Paired with their room control switch you can do almost everything without needing the app.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I decided to install this light in the basement TV/Entertainment area where I already had a single 6" slim LED light on a single pole switch. Hardest part of the install was having to cut a replacement ceiling tile with a 4.25" hole. The clips for connecting the wires are really cool and the copper wires plugged straight in and were snug. I don't have much clearance between tile and joists, but it still fit in nicely. The magnetic trim is a nice feature if you want to swap out to different colours, but I'll stick with the white version. I already have Wiz compatible lights. The app makes it easy to add the new light in the new "Basement" room.

The baffles are interchangeable with different colours and connect with magnets. They're indoor/outdoor/shower rated, and the springs that hold them into the sealing are very solid. All in all these are great dimmable lights and the ability to change to softer light in the morning or at night and whiter light during the day is a great feature. Paired with the Wiz Smart Controller there are lots of controls and even app that will adjust the colour of the light based on the time of day to match your circadian cycle and control the light wirelessly.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Overall a great smart light with tons of features. The app is as good as any proprietary smart light app I've used. It gives you I usually install Dim to Warm Liteline LEDs, but with the smart light you can get the same result using the app. Another super cool feature is Rhythms, which lets you change colour temperature based on circadian rhythm to reduce blue light at night. It's also got IFTTT integration for any smart feature you can't create using the app. I was playing around with IFTTT and managed to hook it up to flash and blink any time it was about to start raining in real time. The beam radius is narrower at 70 degrees than the standard flushmount Liteline/Spex light fixtures due to the baffle. Note the baffle is magnetic, which makes it super easy to take off when painting or cleaning, and lets it sit nice and flush to the ceiling. The light has a silicone seal and is rated for wet environments. Note that the power supply on these smart lamps is different from standard Spex and Liteline LED lights, and features a 6 pin connector instead of the standard 2 pin. This means this isn't a direct swap out for other Liteline/Spex LED lights, but it's pretty easy to change the power supply so no complaints. Liteline is a Canadian company, and I hope they continue to support and secure these fixtures for as long as their lifespans are.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I'm not going to waste your time on what you already know, but if you don't then this is a smart light that can change colors. What else do you need that is not included in the package. The App. Just search for Wiz Connected in Google App Store or iTune Store. It's free. It can use the App to control the light to change colors, dim or bright, and on or off. If you have multiples of these lights, you can set up groups to have different colors or even rotating colors and dimness. You also need to get a 4 1/4" hole cutter if you don't already have one. Yes, it's 4 1/4" to put this light in your ceiling or wall or wherever you want it. What I think needs improvements are the following: 1. Why a separate power box when you can build it into the light fixture (see picture)? I know there are ones that have everything built into one unit. 2. Is there a way to change the light bulb or am I expected to replace the entire unit if the light burns out? I'm sure LED don't last forever. 3. I don't like the two spring legs holding the light fixture into the ceiling or wall (see picture). Will I rip my drywall if I pull out the light? I am not sure if I can really recommend this even though this is a fun light unit.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This has great light output and because it’s a baffle design, it does not give off glare. This is great in the shower. Not sure about different colours but I do like the fact that you can change the colour temperature. The major issue is the lights do not have wifi so you have to buy a controller as well to change the settings. The controller is $80+ and for some reason you still can’t use it with ur phone

I spent a few hours mounting 5 lights on my roof line and trying to get it to connect to wifi from my garage. When it tried to connect the software kept saying "invalid credentials". The Error Code actually means 'my wifi is out of range'. It finally did connect but only holds an intermediate connection. All my other Devices have 4bars connecting to the same 2.4gig wifi from the same location. Love hate relationship with the product. This product is a big failure for me.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It installed very easily and looks great and a modern design. I like the LED. Took a little bit to get it all set up but it works well. I put It in my office and it is a good light. I will be putting more in the house. I think this light would be great anywhere in the house. It gives off a good amount of light and is nice and flush to the ceiling. It’s going to be a nice design over the can pot light I have.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The light was easy to install, great that All the connection fit nicely into the box then it’s just a simple plug to get the light connected. So if the light ever burns out can switch the light without redoing the wiring. Light is good, the color changing is a cool feature. One thing is I wish the light wasn’t so recessed into the housing as it makes it a bit spotty
