Rated 1 out of 5 by from Everything about this fixture is cheap…except the price! I bought 6 of these fixtures and hired a... Everything about this fixture is cheap…except the price! I bought 6 of these fixtures and hired a licensed (Master) electrician to install them. He said the fixture is the cheapest constructed lighting fixture he’s ever worked with. The housing is very flimsy and bends out of shape easily. All of the end knockouts were only partially punched through the housing necessitating each to be drilled out with a metal hole saw. The plastic end caps on the light bar itself continually fell off during installation. I only gave the light a 1-star (instead of no stars) since it does illuminate well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just bought it. A bit pricey, but so far so good. Just bought this for an 8x10 Shed. Construction is a little flimsy. It does put out quite a bit of light and there is no delay on start up which is nice. It is kind of pricey for what it is though. The two halves of the light are connected by a short ground wire and much longer thin wires from the ballast to the lens with LED's. I was worried when snapping it together that I may accidentally pinch the wires. Because of the short profile, when tightening down the clamp for the romex cable, it screws were pushing the fixture from the ceiling. I got around this by turning the clamp sideways. Cutting the screws down is another option. Also, because the profile is so short, you can't tightened the romex clamp nut, you must turn the outer clamp piece. Between the price and the flimsy quality, I rate this average. Hopefully the light outlives the shed for the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light for home garages I replaced the florescent lighting in my 2 car garage with two of these light strips. The florescent lighting would not work in the cold, or would take a very long time to come up to full brightness. The LED lights instantly turn on even in the cold. Each light puts out more light then the two tube florescent fixtures I replaced. The light dispersal reaches all corners of the garage. The only drawback was installation. As the picture shows, the LED lights are too narrow to be installed over existing electrical boxes. I had to mount the light on a 1X4, then attach the 1X4 to the ceiling over the electrical box. (So when you buy your light, pick up some 1X4's as well as paint that matches your ceiling color.) Wiring was VERY simple. I would highly recommend this light to all frustrated florescent light owners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You cannot beat this unit for lighting quality and energy savings. Easy to install, fantastic light fixture (4000 K Rating). I installed it above our laundry area & was very impressed. The fact that I wont be messing around w/ light bulb changes for a LONG TIME alone is worth the $99.97 price alone. The added energy savings benefit of 40% above conventional flourescent fixtures, of which themselves have a good energy savings was even better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Install, Huge Savings Perfect light. Better than the double-bulb T8 4' fixtures I replaced. NEVER will I waste $3-5 per replacement tube bulb again!!! I used to go through so many tubes buying a 10-pack each time.. NEVER AGAIN thanks to LED!!! I have two tips on install: 1) Easier handling/mounting: use two rubber bands, one on each end to hold the lamp next to housing. Remove the bands once you are done with mounting screws/wires, then just snap the lamp into place. 2) Use a 1/2"-1" washer with the mounting screws. Probably overkill, but I also used my own beefier 1" pan head screws to mount these.

For some reason, the ground wire is quite short. If you use the back or right side knockout, your incoming ground wire will need to be about a foot longer than the hot and neutral. For some reason they thought it was a good idea for the ground to be placed on the left side, and the power wires to be situated to the right of center.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fixture I purchased these lamps to replace 80 watt (2 bulbs of 40w) florescent 4ft lamps. The result was great. These led lamps give much better light, and to think we will not have to be constantly replacing expensive florescent bulbs is great. I purchased them for a warehouse ally where the altitude is about 12 ft. Great product, will be purchasing more.

Followed DSlope (2016 post) advice to use 2 rubber bands to keep cover together with base during the install to replace old 4 ft T12 unit this Memorial Day afternoon. Used old screws to mount new unit back onto floor joists. Took right side cover off to allow wiring through. Slim footprint and much brighter now in the basement laundry area.
