Questions & Answers

I need a sewage ejector pump that can pump against 200 feet distance and 35 feet elevation.

Asked by: Jim
I can not make a recommendation from the information provided but perhaps I can offer some points for you to consider. First the 200 foot run is not tremendously pertinent as pipe does not create a lot of friction. The Total Dynamic Head of 35' is the more substantive point. If you look at the pump curve for the pump referenced here, which you will find in the specification sheet, you will find that the flow rate for this pump will drop to zero at 35'. So you will need a more power full pump. If you look at the pump curve for the 20ES series which is Home Depot SKU 204264930 you will see that 35' is in the sweet spot of that curve. It will pump 135 GPM at that height. You should also consider if you are going to do a one pump or two pump system and if you are going to control the pumps with a panel. For example when I am designing a large pumping system I like to use two pumps. That way when one burns out you still have a working pump to empty the chamber. I use a control panel alternates the pumps and set the floats so they clear the waste above the pumps. This way the pumps are always under water. This reduces corrosion. Feel free to give us a call and we can talk about your need. Chris 978 651 3301

A 16S-CIM pump that is 208 Volt 60 Htz. Single Phase is product number 514625. Home Depot has it on there web site as SKU 204264928. If you put that number in the search block on there site it will come up.

Pump needs to pump household sewage for 200 feet in an incline of 15 feet high would it work?? Existing discharge is 2

Existing piping is 2 inch pic. Going to a 3 inch sewer line. Which pump would work??
Asked by: Vic
When sizing a pump you need to look at a number of factors. The first is total dynamic head. How high it's pumping. The pump curve indicates that this pump will move 130 gallons per minute at that height. I don't know the design parameters so I can't tell you if that is correct. You are welcome to call me to talk about your project. Chris 978 651 3301
