Very disappointing
This post looked fine at installation, but it's definitely a failure in terms of performance. Structurally it seems sound, but after a few months the finish on the entire south-facing side of the post has gone from the original bronze to an unsightly chalky white. Hardly a viable finish for outdoor use. Maybe this is why HD has reduced the price by almost 25% since I bought it. Now I guess I'll have to invest in a can of primer and a can of bronze-finish spray paint -- simpler than disassembling the installation and getting a different post, especially since I seem to have overpaid for this one as it is.
The only way I could recommend this outdoor post would be for indoor use.
