AnswersYes, it is fairly easy. While standing on a step ladder, reach over the top of the top shade without pushing on the shade.

We needed a sleek, elegant brushed nickel lamp capable of broadly dispersed, intense, but medium warmth lighting in our modern dining room. This unit delivered totally. With its three lamps, we got the intensity we needed using dimmable LED bulbs and the styling is perfect. We added an LED dimmer and are just delighted in the flexible performance of this unit.
Installation is very standard. The unit is very lightweight, making one person installation easy. This unit connects using two downward facing screws which are mounted in a round plate. To these screws, small ball nuts are attached. As with all units that mount in this fashion, getting the screws through the top cover is often the hardest part, but still quite straightforward.
Although the unit is described as flush mount, it does have a short stem leaving a small opening between the ceiling and the top of the shade.. This improves its looks, of course, and is very stylish.
We're very happy with this unit and highly recommend it.

Brighton LiveX (3) Bulb Semi-Flushmount Brush Nickel Double Drum Light
The sleek design reminds you of traditional style of the 60's, an elegant time. Everything was included in the box except the light bulbs. Simple directions making it easy to install. It is well made with high quality material making it durable.The light features white fabric hardback double drum shades with frosted white acrylic diffuser on the bottom of the shade. Uses standard bulbs, the light hold (3) Max 60 watt bulbs. We used 40 watt LED bulbs and it gives off plenty of light. The semi-flush mount in brushed nickel hangs down the right amount for the height of our ceilings.It looks great in the hallway off our living room. Super attractive with a blend of beautiful fabric and brushed nickel finish.

Overall, great light. The second drum definitely gives it more of a unique look vs typical flushmount lights, so make sure you like that before you buy this.
The light was very easy to install and the quality of materials is great. The color of the shades looks a little more white than what the pictures on the HD website entail, but that's OK for me.
