Product is so thick it barely can be applied. It is unknown if the product works. Maybe it is stale stock.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. We are so sorry to hear that our Loctite PL Marine was not easy to dispense. This product is a heavy viscosity and is sticky but what you described is not characteristic of this product during extrusion. The shelf life for this product is only 12 months unopened so it sounds like you may have purchased a product that was expired, close to expiration, or possibly defective. The lot codes are printed on the tube. As with all items sold through retailers, a defective or expired product should be returned to the place of purchase for exchange or refund. These stores do receive credit from Loctite for returning defective products but more important the store location needs to know and hopefully they will contact us

Marine sealant is the difference. If you need protection for water leaks-bathtubs and sinks. The color does not cure perfectly ceramic but it does work.

I put this ish an everything (on my boat). I remodeled a boat where I cut out a cuddly cabin and made seats. I used this stuff between every joint and contact point so there would be a water tight seal and no creaking. Keep a tube on hand if you have an older boat - you will need it.

I must have bought an old one
I could not get any out, I had a terrible time with it. Finally I put a stick inside to see what was up and discovered some was hard but the rest was workable. Well, I put it back in the gun, and after doing one of the five items I am working on, I couldn't do it! It's just not workable! It's going back!

I would recommend using Loctite Pl Marine Fast Cure Adhesive Sealant. My house is on the side of a hill and one side of the garage is underground about 4 foot. I suddenly had a leak coming in where the wall meets the floor. We removed part of the wall and found it still had water coming in. I used the Loctite and the water stopped. I also used it on both sides of the leak since water will go around low areas. I've not had a drop of water since even after a rain. It didn't look good when I finished but the new wall will cover it.

I have used Silicone Sealant for years, when I wanted a durable, flexible, waterproof seal. Much of my silicone purchases were at Home Depot. I December 2019, I was replacing the float value my daughter's toilet. Even though it was tighten well and a gasket was in place, there was still a leak between the value assembly and the tank. Rather than reassemble and reseal the toilet, I thought I could stop the leak with some silicone sealant. When I went to my local Home Depot, it looked like the kind of silicone sealant I had been using, was not longer sold. When I asked for a waterproof sealant, they sold me a tube of Loctite PL Marine Adhesive Sealant. I would have worked well, except for the fact that it was too viscous to fit into the area between the assembly's holding nut and the back of the tank. Maybe the sealant I bought was expired. I would have attempted to knead that sealant into the crack with my fingers, but the directions warned to the adhesive was very toxic. When the sealant hardened, the tank still leaked and had to be resealed by other means.

Works decent. Could be improved or labeled changed. Manufactures web sites. States above 40o, below 100o. I used half a tube on 5 hatch covers 12"×12" on my boat in 54o one night with some dew down. For Next 2 days 65o-70o. 48hrs later a few spots ( about 25% work area) Was still as wet as it was when i put it down. 3rd day. Maybe a few tiny spots still wet. 4th day dry. Unsure what happened. Fiest time using this product. I do still have the other half a tube and a whole nother new tube. Will try again today on a separate project

Used it to repair crack in rotomold plastic boat water tank, which are notoriously hard to repair. Roughed area with 80 grit, slathered on Locktite PL Marine and some mesh reinforcing tape. Stopped leak, sealant cures in water, sticks to plastic. Very happy !
