Lucas Oil Products Fuel Stabilizer prevents fuel degradation during storage. Full instructions are on the label with convenient graduations included to aid in measuring. Most of us have stuff that uses gasoline, and if you live in a cold climate there are times when that stuff doesn’t get used for several months. This is when to break out the Lucas Oil Products Fuel Stabilizer. Add the recommended amount to eliminate problems with stale gasoline when spring arrives. Occasionally, there are engines that may not be started for even longer periods. Adding Lucas Fuel Stabilizer is essential for reducing and eliminating starting issues due to gasoline becoming stale and, even worse, gumming and/or varnishing. Gumming and varnishing can cause severe problems throughout the fuel system, especially with blocking those small carburetor ports/holes, or injector issues for fuel injected machines. Once upon a time I went to college. Due to ignorance on my part, my motorcycle sat for three years with no fuel treatment. Yes, I used it for some short trips when home for the summer, but no fresh gasoline was added to the tank. When it eventually would not start, I had to use small wire and drill bits to carefully and methodically clean the gum and varnish from three carburetors. It was not fun! I learned my lesson. My father just frowned and shook his head. Treat your fuel before storing equipment. No warranty/guarantee noted. Made in USA.

I just poured my Lucas 8 fl. oz. Fuel Stabilizer into my generator. I have used the Lucas brand fuel stabilizer before. I have also used Lucas products before with great results, so I trust the Lucas brand and name. With all of my engines that I do not use frequently I like to use a fuel stabilizer. This insures the fuel does not break down and clog the carburetor.

Anyone who manages small engines and seasonal equipment like snow blowers, lawn tractors, etc. should be familiar with Lucas Oil and this fuel stabilizer. I was happy to get this item knowing it is high quality and works as advertised. I used this particular bottle for my snow blower and generator going into storage for the summer. I let the motor run for about 5-8 minutes to let the stabilizer mix with the fuel and run through the system for a bit and that's about it. I trust that come winter these items will start on either the first or second pull. A generator could sit for months without needing to be used. This product works and is super cheap insurance so that when you finally do need it, it works. You don't want to deal with issues during or before a big storm where a power outage is a possibility. This stuff puts my mind at ease.

As a part-time resident in two states, I like to prepare my cars for long storage periods, when they will not be started or driven. This process includes adding a fuel stabilizer to the gas. I’m not a chemist, and can’t determine whether or not the composition of this product makes it better than competing products. I suppose the only way for me to get a sense of that would be to see whether I have any engine problems when the car comes out of storage, but I just started using it, so I can’t say yet. In the meantime, the product label states that using the entire can of product (8 oz) will treat 8 gallons of fuel. The same quantity of stabilizer of a competing brand will treat 20 gallons. Although the other product is slightly more expensive for the same 8 oz stabilizer, if you do the math you will find that this product is 66% more expensive per ounce of treated fuel than the competing brand. Unless this Lucas brand somehow performs better than its competitor (I have experienced no problem with the competing product), I’m not sure what the incentive would be to buy the Lucas brand. On the plus side, the slender shape of the container as well as the quantity gauge on the bottle (see picture) make it easy to dispense the proper amount of stabilizer into the fuel tank.

Did not notice any improvement in gas mileage and after using a few times had problems with leaks in the fuel injectors. I don't know whether there us any correlation between use of the product and fuel leak

Seems to be a good product
The pouring spout built in works perfectly. Here is the weird thing, I added the full container to a tank of gas and went for a long drive to mix it in. Weird thing was that my gas mileage was very good. I was concerned about performance, but not now.
