Product Overview

Lucci Air Climate III 3 Blade 52 in. DC fan in Oil Rubbed Bronze with reversible Walnut/Dark Koa blades, complete with 6-speed remote control. Optional light kit sold separately (21064301). The Lucci Air Climate III is a DC (direct current) ceiling fan that uses approximately 40% less electricity while producing high airflow and silent motor operation. The Lucci Air Climate III is only operational via the included 6-speed remote control, which includes a convenient wall holster. You will never lose your remote again. Winter/Summer mode allows for added comfort all year long. The simplicity in design and 2 looks with reversible blades gives this fan a designer appeal. This review is being written on the Lucci Air Climate II 52 Inch Black DC Ceiling Fan. I have never been very fond of 3 bladed ceiling fan but this fan has a simplistic yet elegant stylish look which looks great in any room you put it in (indoor only). It has a DC motor that supposedly is quiter and uses 40% less electricity than a regular AC motor. It has 6 speeds controlled via remote control and installation was very easy. Note that this fan does not come with a light kit. I definitely recommend

I’m very happy with this fan. It blended in so well with my bedroom furniture and was exactly the subtle look I was looking for so it wasn’t intrusive. It has six speeds, the direction can be reversed, the koa wood is pretty, it’s quiet, well- balanced, and it has an easy to use remote control. My electrician said it was easy to install and functions well. It’s a great fan and I highly recommend it.

With its DC motor, this fan makes very little motor noise. Most of the noise is simply from the movement of the blades through the air. The fan moves a significant amount of air and with six speeds to choose from, it gives great comfort control. The DC motor is small and less intrusive than the motors found on AC fans. The finish is good, and all of the parts fit well. There is very little assembly required. The convenient remote includes control for the fan and light kit if purchased. I did not purchase the lighting kit. A reversing button is included on the remote to change fan directions. Far more convenient than climbing a ladder to reverse the fan direction. This fan and optional light kit cannot be controlled from wall mounted switches, only from the included remote. I prefer wall switches as remotes tend to wander around and can be difficult to find. It does come with a "holster" for holding the remote on the wall when not in use. Installation was difficult. I have installed a large number of ceiling fans in several different homes and have not had much difficulty with them. The only significant issues came with the wiring. There are three wires coming from the outlet box, of course. Mine has four so it can control the lights from the wall, but the fourth wire cannot be used with this fan. In addition, there are three wires from the motor controller to connect to the power lines. Also on the motor controller is five more wires, two for the light and three for the motor. There are five matching wires that emerge from the down rod. Ground consists of five or six wires (one each for the house circuit, motor, down rod, box, hanger, and controller, plus mine needed ground to the outlet box). Making about 20 wires, total. It is relatively easy to connect using the eight included wire nuts. The instructions say to push the wires into the outlet box. The outlet box provided by my builder is only about one inch deep, which is sufficient for the ten power wires and three wire nuts, but not much else. Also there is the trick to hold those wires in place while installing the controller. Besides there not being much room, there is really no need to do that since the remaining wires only connect from the down rod to the controller, so they can stay in the canopy. The canopy is rather small. It visually balances nicely with the small motor. However, it is barely large enough to cover the motor controller, so covering the wires is a bit of a challenge. In addition, the controller completely fills the space between the hanging ball and the outlet box, so routing the wires emerging from the down rod and those coming from the outlet box to the controller is a significant challenge to keep the wires from being pinched. I am concerned that if the fan is not perfectly balanced, any wiggle might wear through the wires. The small canopy barely fits over the controller, so making sure the wires are also captured was a second challenge after determining how to route the wires through the mounting bracket. The instruction manual is well written with many pictures. That is, except for the step about pushing the wires into the outlet box, inserting the controller into the bracket and attaching the canopy. For these, the most difficult steps, There is one picture showing the controller and three(!) wires. None of the pictures are photographs, just line drawings. These are mostly sufficient. However, a photograph and some instructions for how to route the wires from the down rod, around the controller, and into the outlet box, would be a huge help. Now that I am through the installation I am sure I will enjoy it for years to come.

I never was a fan of the three blade ceiling fans, however this one is definitely to our liking. We love the design and the manufacturing of the fan itself. The fan blades have a natural warm wood tone and will complement any decor in your house. Apparently this is the New modern design of the future. The three blade design provides ample air movement in the room. We are going to try and get a light kit to attach. But it does come with a remote. We love it.

I absolutely love this fan. For a ceiling fan, this has the best features of any fan I've purchased for myself or installed for others. And I've done a lot of them in many brands. What first impresses me is the packaging. It's eco friendly as it uses formed cardboard to secure all the parts, no Styrofoam. The literature on the box gives you the most pertinent information. It clearly tells me the fan is 3 blade with a 52 inch span. It gives the precise distance from the ceiling when using the included down-rod =12.2 inches. And also tells me how much air it moves at each speed setting. It also tells me, this fan is suitable for flat ceilings or can be mounted at an angle for vaulted ceilings. But also much more that I'll mention in the following. It is a 6 speed reversible fan that operates on DC current. Most fans are only 3 or 4 speeds and need to be reversed by changing the switch position on the fan motor. This fan includes a remote control that will perform all operations including reverse. The DC feature (direct current) as opposed to AC (alternating current) allows it to use less energy than a typical AC motor. Most household products operate on AC only. Yet it doesn't require any special wiring. This particular model doesn't include a light kit as I didn't need one. But it is available if you prefer. Or I can add a light kit to it later if I choose. The remote includes operation for the light whether you purchase yours with the light or add it later. So if you add a light kit, the remote is ready to operate it. The remote control is unique because, as I mentioned, it is a 6 speed fan and reversible using only the remote. It also has 2 other features I've never encountered. If you use a light kit, the remote has a security feature that you can program the light to turn on and off periodically. But it also has what is called natural air where you can program the fan to periodically cycle through the speeds. I find it's a nice feature to get an added burst of air from time to time. It's also the easiest fan I've ever assembled. Most of the fans I've installed, you need to assemble the blades to brackets and then install those to the fan motor. But with this design, the brackets are already mounted to the motor internally. You then slide each blade through the motor housing and screw them to the brackets. The bottom of the motor gets a cover that twists on to make the brackets invisible. I find this much easier but also have found fans designed this way tend to be better balanced reducing chances of wobble. Lucci Air will be the brand I recommend from here on. Lifetime warranty. Weighs less than 9 pounds.

If your looking for a good fan that also uses an energy savings DC motor, the Lucci Air Climate III 52 in. Oil Rubbed Bronze and Dark Koa DC Ceiling Fan is a good buy in this price range. The Fan arrived well packaged, which can be an issue with lower priced fans. The items were well protected and made it easy to get the parts out. The only part I would be careful of is the blades, these are on the top of the box, so would be prone to damage. The system uses clips for some of the wiring which makes it easier to install. The main housing (see photos) is well built and heavy for something in this range which is good.

Lets start with the appearance, It has a simplistic look that would go great in a family room or a porch with a post and beam ceiling. It comes with a remote control which has six speeds and controls for a light which is available for this model. It is a well built fan with a 52 in. diameter blades. With a little electrical experience most people can tackle this project. I hope this helps with all your decision. Good luck with all your projects.

Very nice, simple yet modern looking ceiling fan by Lucci. This model has two-sided fan blades for the option to selected either a light oak grain or solid white finish. Remote controlled operation is very quiet and balanced with 6 speeds and some other neat features for decent air movement. The instructions are not well illustrated so take your time and pay attention. The fan blade attachment step is out of order and should be done after the motor is hung and wired, not before as illustrated. The wires are plenty long and can be shortened in order to reduce the amount that has to be tucked into the ceiling box. I also recommend stripping more insulation off to expose more wire and use smaller wire nuts than supplied especially for the three 22 gauge motor speed wires. Electrical tape is also recommended so the nuts don't slip off. The DC adapter slides into the upper part of the hanging bracket which is tricky so unplug the three connectors first before wiring everything then insert the adapter and then plug in the connectors.

This 3 blade fan has a dark, sleek and very attractive look.... Bummed that it does not have a light kit with it...but I do use applications without lights sometimes. Some fans are just ugly with the light kit...but this is not the case with this fan....I think the light will be fine. The 6 speed remote has tons of options and is sleek and atractive.
