If the topper is forced to be rolled or folded up, it increases the likelihood of the foam tearing or cracking and will void the warranty. With that being said, if you would like to purchase this topper for your futon, we suggest storing it in a flat position somewhere else, when the futon is folded up. Hey Marce, This topper is gel-infused to help regulate temperature, but it will likely feel like the other gel-infused topper you have. Gel-infused toppers will sleep cooler than traditional memory foam, but they will not make your bed feel cold since they can still retain some heat like any other foam product. If you are wanting a cooler bed, then we recommend adding a bed fan or using breathable sheets such as Tencel or bamboo.
