Yes they do make a 4 way dimmer. Look a the Lutron Maestro Series of switches which allow you to dim from multiple locations.

would be be recommended or ok to use LED lights? Which ones if that is so?

It is a standard switch, not a dimmer. It will work with any type of light including LED.

Is there a 4-way rocker switch with locator light that can control LED lights?

Answer

Yes, this model, the CA-4PSNL-IV, could be used to control LED lights.

Looking for a 4way decora switch with a dimmer for LED.

Answer

Lutron has two options for this type of application. The first option is one MACL-153M and two MA-R dimmers. You can see an illustration of the wiring here: http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/368-4493_Page_15.pdf. The second option is one PD-6WCL with two PJ2-3BRL remotes. You can see an illustration of 3-way wiring here: http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/368-4493_Page_3.pdf. Lutron simply recommends connecting the four wires together under one wire nut at the 4-way location.

Response from THD – Customer ServiceNovember 24, 2017
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We are sorry to hear about your experience with this 4-way switch. There should be a soft glow right behind the rocker to help locate the switch in the dark. If this is not the case, please give our 24/7 Support Line a call at 844-LUTRON1 where a representative would be happy to help.

Purcased this and two 3-Way switches for my hall lights. They use old technology neon lights in the switch and they draw current when the switch is off. That little bit of leakage current is enough to make LED lightbulbs burn dimly when turned off. How long does it take to catch up with LED lighting?
