Thick.
No visible screws. But it's thick, and the two piece construction is super obvious. If your wall is not perfectly flat, it looks bad. I don't like the way it looks, but it is functional and construction quality is very good.

LOVE THESE! Amazing how just removing the screws from the front can make such a difference! Originally bought these to complete my new bathroom remodel but then decided to replace the whole house! They look very clean and sleek. Easy to install.

Looks awesome, screws too short
The 1/4 inch screws are way too short. They are not even 1/8 of an inch longer than the depth of the wall plate, not enough thread to grab the wood. It seems to be a specialty screw which means you won't find a flat head that doesn't stick out too far at Home Depot.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. When installing the Claro face plate on a Lutron dimmer there shouldn't be a need to screw anything into wood. The screws are designed to screw into the threaded holes on a dimmer or switch, that's why they are the length they are. I replaced all the switch plates throughout my home with the Lutron Claro plates, and they look fabulous. They give the home an updated, more modern look. They are a little pricey, but I was able to replace all the plates in the home for less than $100. I am very pleased with the purchase.
