The Lutron Diva dimmer switch is a simple and elegant solution designed to match your existing designer opening switches and accessories. This Diva is for use in 1000-Watt applications. You can easily turn the lights on and off with the paddle style switch. While the lights are turned on, use the slide control to adjust the lights to your desired level creating your perfect light. The paddle switch returns the lights to your favorite preset level. A soft locator light glows in the off position, making the dimmer easy to find in the dark. Installing a Diva dimmer switch is easy and saves energy too. You can replace your existing switch with a Diva dimmer switch in as little as 15 minutes. Then dim the lights just 50% to save 40% electricity and extend bulb life 10 times. Coordinating Claro wall plates and accessories sold separately.

We used these in a 4-gang junction box, with 2-of these dimmers. The dimmer switches have heat control tabs on bot sides that hang over the side edges of the JBs, thus, the covers would not fit. So be cautious, we have to use 4 1-gang JBs with o space between them and and use 4 screw-less covers that were mounted side by side. NEED to have notice in the documents about this design to electricians can explain this so the customer does not start with negative comments (were using the 1,000 dimmers)..

The Lutron 1000 watt was needed to properly cover 13...
The Lutron 1000 watt was needed to properly cover 13 lights in the basement. The in-store version cannot safely handle thirteen 65 watt bulbs without making the light switch cover get warm to hot to the touch. Definitely worth the money as peace of mind is priceless.

Watt power
This product was easy to install and had clear install instructions. I required a dimmer that had greater than the standard 600 watts and this switch was perfect for the application.
