The MA-T51 has a minimum load rating of .3 amps. Many newer exhaust fans do not meet this minimum load requirement. Instead, Lutron suggests the MA-T51MN, which has a minimum load rating of .05 amps. The MA-T51MN does require a neutral connection. Lutron recommends reviewing the wiring in the wallbox to see if a neutral is present.
The MA-T51 is rated for 300w incandescent/halogen lights or 3 amps for general purpose fans. Currently at this time, Lutron has not tested this timer with a heater and cannot guarantee compatibility. Thank you for your inquiry. Please reach out to our Support Team at support@Lutron.com or by phone at 1 (844) 588-7661 for additional assistance.
The MA-T51 is a single pole only timer control. Instead, Lutron recommends the MA-T51MN, which requires a neutral connection and that the second switch be replaced for a companion (MA-AS). Review the wiring diagram here for this timer: https://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/368-4493_Page_18.pdf
"Midnight" is a satin black where as "brown" is a glossy finish. Please reach out to our Support Team at support@Lutron.com or by phone at 1 (844) 588-7661 if you would like a color chip set to help in the color decision process.
The MA-T51 has a minimum load rating of .3 amps. Lutron recommends confirming the Panasonic fan would meet this minimum load requirement. Lutron also offers the MA-T51MN, which is a neutral based version of the same timer. The minimum load for the MA-T51MN is .05 amps.
The MA-T51 is rated for a maximum of 3 amps of general purpose fan load. Please refer to the install guide here for additional information and to see if your attic fan would be a suitable load for this timer: http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/030104103A.pdf.
The MA-T51 is rated for 5 amps of lighting load or 3 amps general purpose fan load. Lutron recommends making sure the jacuzzi tub does not draw more amperage than these ratings.
I'm also running into this issue - going to try the "low voltage" version.
Yes, a small orange light that marks the timer setting. Barely pinpoint sized. I don't think it can be disabled.
No it does not require a neutral. It requires a ground.
