The Maestro Multi-Location Digital Dimmer from Lutron allows you to dim a light fixture from multiple locations. The easy-to-operate tap switch turns lights on/off to your favorite light level or tap twice for full on. Press, hold and release the switch for delayed fade-to-off. Delayed fade-to-off gives you 10-60 seconds to leave the room or get into bed before the lights go out. Adjust the light level for any activity using the rocker. LEDs display the light level and glow softly in the dark, so you can easily find the control. Using Maestro Dimmers and Companion Dimmers, you can control a single light from up to 10 locations - the perfect combination for controlling the lights at either end of the staircase or at both entrances to a room. Maestro dimmers are perfect for every room of your home. Coordinating Claro wallplates and accessories purchased separately.

What is AMP rating?

AnswerThis dimmer does not come with a wallplate, it is just pictured with one. If you are interested, we do have a version of this dimmer that is compatible with all bulb types, including dimmable CFL and LED. The model # is MACL-153M-IV (HD ID #204466240).

An upscale switch with greta features.
I purchased this switch to replace one that failed after 5 years of use. The dimmer feature is great and just what I wanted. It allows the user to preset the light level to accommodate the room preferences while allowing instant adjustments. Pricey but perfect.

Great Dimmer
This is the only dimmer I will buy. Simple to use, easy to install and has enough options to be used on most any incandesent luminaire (that's the NEW term for "light fixture")anywhere in the house. Won't work with flourecent bulbs, but, it will work with rope light, LED's, quartz lamps and the old standard A-19 light bulb. Also, because of its "Soft Start" operation I have noticed that standard light bulbs are lasting longer than they used to.
Recommended.
