Q:Will this wrap around 3/4" PVC Pipe? Also, is this an error, if not, why is this (1")SO much MORE than the same thing in 3/4? 3/4 is 2.82, this shows as 18.36.

Q:Is this insulation better than the four times cheaper Everbilt foam insulation? how is it better? Does it improve the R value to put adhesive backed aluminum tape around the outside?

A:Â Thank you for reaching out. This is a high-quality product. The density of the foam adds to the insulation capabilities. Adding aluminum tape combined would increase the R value. Thanks

Q:After it is sealed together can you slide it over a 90 degree bend, or would you need to use an insulation elbow? I didn't see a matching elbow for Model #50164.
If you have to cut your own elbow, whats the best method for sealing the pieces together?

A:Â Thank you for reaching out. A elbow or an adhesive when cutting is recommend for this application. An adhesive rated for either the heat or cold ranges the product is subjected to would be recommended. Thanks

A: I had a 90 degree bend. I found the insulation too thick to bend. Before I sealed the insulation I cut V shaped notches on both sides of the seam to accommodate the bend. I then positioned the insulation around the bend and sealed it. It can be reinforced with duct tape after it is fitted.Â
