This 1/4" weather stripping is very satisfactory. It is made with a rigid plastic backing. That attribute is not clear from the product description but is a very good attribute. The backing keeps it in place and provides a well defined alignment of the weather stripping.

I have an older house that is not perfectly square and a perfectly square front door. The weather stripping on the bottom of the door didn’t fit on the last few inches because the gap was too small. So, I had to cut back the thick weather stripping and use this in its place. This product worked perfectly to close the gap. The sticky part holds to the bottom of the door well enough to keep it on. This is easily cut with a pair of scissors. This is exactly what I needed. The only drawback is that it is 17’ and I only used about 1’.

It works.
It works. My channel was less than 1/4 inch, so I had to painstakingly trim the backing to make it fit. Otherwise works good.

Worked perfect for me to replace the weatherstiping in the sliding window of my pickup. They don't make a replacement so this was a life saver for this old window.
