Product Details

The M-D Vinyl U-Shape Deny Slide-On Under Door Seal features vinyl fins for protection from drafts, moisture, dust and insects. The vinyl fins provide a physical barrier to stop bugs and are embedded with a natural abrasive. Deny is easy to install since it does not require hardware. A compression fit secures the Under Door Seal to the bottom of the door. Save on energy by sealing the bottom of the door and keeping the heat or air conditioning from escaping. Before installation, cut to desired length using a hacksaw.

      Q:I have a 32 inch wide, 1.75 thick exterior door with only a 3/16ths inch gap to the bottom door jam. Is there a product that can fit that small gap? Original seal was simple vinyl piece as far as I can tell without removing the door.

      A:  Hello SamD, We only make our Under Door Seals fit gaps from 3/8" to 3/4" just depending on which item you are to get. I'm sorry we do not have anything for that small of a gap. I would recommend looking at a door sweep as this will help seal that gap. Thanks!

          A:  It is going to depend upon what the clearance is between the bottom of the door and the threshold height. I would suggest that you slip the seal on the door while it is open, then measure from the floor to the bottom of the seal. That will give you an idea of how much clearance you have available for a threshold.

            Looking forward to keeping the creepy crawlies out of my garage office. I received this item in exchange for a review. The door seal came with good instructions for cutting down the seal if it is wider than your door. Once I had trimmed it down with a hacksaw it fit just fine. The seal uses diatomaceous earth in the fins at the bottom to get rid of any bugs that rub up against the fins. Do be careful when trimming the fins. In retrospect I think I would have been better off trimming them with a box knife rather than continuing with the hacksaw. The seal fits fairly tightly against the door but if it is a bit loose I would use a bit of double sided gorilla tape or some small brads to secure the seal.
