Hello! On Marey ECO180 could be used a 6-8 gauge wire for its setup. You'll be able to use the solar heating but you need to make sure that there isn't substantial loss of pressure or that incoming water does not exceed over 100ºF. For more details, please contact Marey's Customer Support at Toll-Free Phone Support - USA: +1 (855) 627-3955 or through email: customerservice@marey.com

It has only been installed about a week. My husband is a plumber, he said it was a easy installation. But so far it has been great! I can't tell the difference, except for the extra space in the closet where the old 40 gallon was. And I am sure when the electric bill arrives ,I will LOVE it even more.

Easiest tankless water heater I have ever installed. Nice feature is that the 6 guage wire comes with unit and is already connected inside the unit. No need to spend extraextra on wiring and no need to open up unit to make connections. Unit has a digital temperature reading and temp adjustment on front panel. Works fine for a single shower

By far the best investment for our home. Easy to install, 3/4 connectors are the only way to go! This met all my expectations for quality. Very stylish in design. Best of all, hot water when I need it, not a 50 gallons of water that might of heating all night, day or even a weekend. I'll update this later on savings on Electric.

Easy to install. Cheaper to install than a regular water heater. Heats the water rapidly. I have had no problem with the hot water running out like with a 40-gallon water heater. I would highly recommend this product.

We put this in a cabin in northern NM. It freezes much of the winter so we wanted to be able to completely drain it at the end of summer. So far it has worked great.

Need TW0 (2) 50 amp breakers to equal 100 amp requirement, this is not mentioned in the description, you MUST have four (4) wires coming into the unit or it does not function properly.. You find this out AFTER you buy the unit and call the tech support number. Another $100 bucks for the electrician. I call that chicken scratch!; or at least stupid. The unit was to replace an older Marey so I bought another exact copy of the old Marey. I wanted more hot water for other things, another bathroom, clothes washer, large jacuzzi, The unit MAY be excellent, but I have not installed it.
