All of our Majestic Steel doors are galvanized to resist rust and corrosion, are comprised of 24-Gauge, high quality steel with 22-Gauge steel stiles and rails for additional strength and security and come with a 1-piece, high density polystyrene core delivering excellent insulation allowing it to meet or exceed current energy code standards. There is approximately 3.5" at the top of the glass covered when the blinds are fully raised.
Can these doors be painted or stained?
It is a condition of the warranty that the door be properly sealed (painted) on all six sides after purchase.
Is the brickmold the same material as the frame? That is, 100% composite poly-fiber? It says the brickmold is "matching" to the frame but that could mean it fits the frame, or is same color, or whatever. Thank you.

how do you clean the interior shade and is the shade also a 'bottom up' or just a 'top down' shade?
The blinds are thermally sealed between 2 panes of glass, so they can not be accessed. This is also the reason why it is not necessary to clean them. The blinds are attached at the top and raise from the bottom.
