AnswerThank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot regarding 72 in. x 80 in. Right Hand Active Primed Composite Glass 15 Lite Clear True Divided Prehung Interior French Door. Manufacture recommends "If you are going to carpet the floor, shim the door jambs off the floor about 3/8″. This will allow carpet to be tucked under the jambs and usually leaves enough clearance, so the door doesn’t rub on the carpet." You may want to mock up install similar with test pieces of flooring. AnswerThe active door comes with a single bore prep for an operable knob. The passive door does not come bored for an operable knob. A dummy knob will need to be installed on the inactive door.

AnswersWow! It's been several years since we ordered these. They are high quality and look good in our entrance hall. Doors both open in the middle. We installed"dummy" handles. They don't move and doors just need a firm push. They stay closed easily. Beware of delivery. At the time we ordered, that did not mean they unloaded the truck! It was only the driver and I was home alone. I'm not 5' tall and am over 60, yet the driver thought I'd help! Ugh!

Excellent doors
I read several reviews with issues around these doors, but mine arrived in perfect condition, i shimmed and hung them and they look great! Only issue i had was a bit of rubbing between the double-hing doors, but a bit of sanding cleared that up. I would recommend these

Glass Cracked
After the door was installed and painted, I started to remove the films from the panels carefully and gently and it seemed the peeling job was going smoothly until the 6th panel all in sudden the glass popped and cracked into pieces. I can only imagine this glass panel is made of low-quality glass to allow for this kind of thing to happen. Can't be more disappointed after all the time and energy spent on the project and this happened in the last step of completion.

The product is not as advertised and the delivery company was terrible. I can't get a hold of anyone at The Home Depot to discuss the situation. Waited on hold for a customer service rep for 45 minutes twice - once on a Saturday and then the following Sunday.
Received 2 distinctly different doors - one with tempered glass and one without. Both doors are supposed to have tempered glazing.The one with tempered glass had plastic film masking that was very easy to remove - as advertised. The one without was VERY difficult to remove and left residue on the glass. The tempered glass is very clear in color and the non-tempered glass is a blue color. We wouldn't have know any of this prior to installation by following the install instructions. The film isn't to be removed until the doors are installed and final painted. What do we do now?
Was supposed to to be their "White Glove" delivery service and was anything but. We were never given a date for delivery and as a matter of fact the order in our online THD account is showing that delivery is still a couple weeks out. DID NOT CALL the day before to set a time for delivery. Called the day of when they were 45 minutes away. (Again - we had NO IDEA the door was even coming that day.)
This is the 3rd online order THD has screwed up in both product quality and delivery service. On the previous 2 orders THD rectified the situation with cost savings to us (partial refunds). This time we can't even get a hold of anyone in a timely manner. We're not ones to complain at all! But 3 strikes - yer out! (And I used to be a THD employee and biggest advocate/fan!)

Arrived with no damage and as expected. There is a film over the windows that takes a little bit of effort to peel off, but this worked to our benefit as we sprayed the doors before hanging them. They do not come with door handles, those need to be purchased separately. Overall, I'm very happy with this door and would buy it again.

When the doors arrived they were packeg very well to avoid damage. Also I liked that they had all the panes covered/shielded waith plastic for easy painting. Easy to remove the plastic after painting with an exacto knife. I would highly recommend these doors to anyone. Perfect for interior office doors in my home.
