Is the button to turn on spray made of rubber? Or plastic?

I believe it is made of rubber, but it is hard to tell! You must hold down the button to activate the sprayer. Once you release it, the sprayer stops.

what is the difference between a kitchen model and one labeled a bar model ?

We had the bar model installed in our laundry room. It's not as tall nor does it project out as far as a kitchen model would. The sink is smaller as well so that big of a faucet isn't necessary. The pull out is great too!

I am concerned about the handle hitting my backsplash, how many degrees does the handle turn?

Asked by Shotsy September 4, 2020

Answers

The back of my faucet is about 2 inches from the backsplash. The handle only sticks back about one half inch farther when changing either temperature or flow rate than it does in the off position. So unless the back of your faucet is within half an inch of the backsplash, you shouldn't have a problem with it hitting the backsplash.

Good warranty but poor quality pull down hose
This review is for the stainless steel faucet with no motion sense. I originally purchased this when I moved into my current home 4 years ago because I didn’t like the standard builder’s grade faucet that was in the kitchen. The faucet was professionally installed at the time that I purchased. I really like the look of the faucet with its high arc design that makes it easy for us to clean various pots and pans. Since this was backed with a lifetime warranty, I figured it was built to last. I do think that the Moen brand of faucets (both motion-sense and not) are priced way too high (even on sale) for a faucet, lifetime warranty or not. So for the last four years, this faucet has worked reliably with no issues or leaks until recently when the pull down hose started spraying water everywhere. Thinking maybe a gasket had gone bad (which can happen with any faucet), I did research on what to do to fix the leak. I removed the sprayer and replaced the gasket only to find the hose continue to spray water everywhere. After looking more closely, it appears that the drop down hose itself had gotten a hole in it and failed near where it connected to the metal support that surrounds the connecting piece to the sprayer. In addition to it spraying water everywhere, this also sprayed water back down the metal spout and onto the underside of the sink, causing a minor flood. If you do have a leak with the hose like this, quickly shut off the valve and dry up any water that has spilled underneath or you will find that the problem has gotten worse with the damage to the wood (or press wood) at the bottom of the sink cabinet. To my surprise when I researched further, there are lots of complaints about the problems with leaks with this particular style of faucet and with this being an upgrade at the time of the home purchase, I was a bit concerned about whether Moen would honor their warranty. After contacting Moen though, they quickly responded and indicated that they were shipping a replacement pull down hose with no questions asked. At the time, this part was on backorder through the manufacturer meaning that I cannot get this fixed for at least a couple of weeks. This indicates to me that Moen has had a significant amount of problems with this particular part for this faucet, enough so that they can’t fulfill warranty replacement requests timely. I give credit to Moen to responding the warranty request but how can a manufacturer not have parts on hand to fulfill them or better yet provide better quality pull down hoses. Since that time, I have had the replacement hose fail as well after an even shorter period of time. Moen again replaced it, but these internal hoses should be better made and not the thin plastic that they are made of. This is a beautiful faucet but is expensive. Considering the price, some of the internal parts seem to be lesser quality than the outer stainless steel shell. At least Moen is willing to honor their warranty but be prepared if you have certain parts failures that they may be backordered for a few weeks. 3 stars

Love the Motion Sense faucet
Faucet was installed today and our impressions are very positive. The Arbor design looks great and being able to pull down the hose to turn on the spray is nice. Plus it goes back to regular flow automatically after you turn the water off.

Quality Moen Faucet
This is a solid faucet that is a great addition to a smaller sink or wet-bar area. Height is not to high, but sleek and eye-catching. The weight of the pull-out sprayer is perfect to retract well and the stainless finish i chose goes very well in the bar area.

I love gadgets and this is a nice one. Takes a bit of getting used to lest you move your hand under the faucet only to get a shower on your sleeve. But after a few days one gets the hang of it and it is no doubt a helpful situation especially when you want to quickly clean a dirty dish with one hand while having something in the other.

Great Faucet- Easy Installation
I bought this in the Spot Resist Finish and it looks great. The motion sense feature is wonderful and I like the fact that the water temperature for hands free operation can be preset at the control. Installation was simple because of the provided quick connect fittings. Watch the installation video on the Moen site to see just how easy it is to install.

Very nice
Installation and instruction very simple and easy to follow . Area sensors works great and the more you use it the more you love it . Spray nozzle has a good pattern and easy to turn on and off. I can't find any thing I don't like about it . It will make any kitchen proud .

I'm impressed!!!
As a contractor and a homeowner, I think this product is great. I am pleased when my customers choose Moen products because of the quality, ease of installation, and warranty. In fact, my home has Moen products in the kitchen and bathrooms. This product lives up to the expectation. I purposely installed this product by myself and followed the instruction precisely to see if this was a one or two man job. This product should probably not be installed by a novice homeowner, but is relatively easy for a professional. And as I discovered can be installed alone. All the pieces/parts were labeled properly and easy to identify... Because of the location of the faucet in an existing sink as a replacement, I had to remove all the drain mechanism and disposal to get free access to the area. Not difficult because I have done this many times, but not sure your typical homeowner could be able to do this. The product itself works as described. I thought it would take some getting used to, but as you reach for the handle out of habit, the water would turn on. It didn't take long to be completely comfortable using it, and now we rarely even touch the handle control. Styling and product finish is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this product to friends, family and customers!
