Questions & Answers

does this faucet come with the deck plate (Escutcheon) or does it need to be purchased separately?

currently I have a 3 hole sink but will move to a one hole sink when I remodel the kitchen. Unfortunately the faucet needs to be replaced now so I will want to reinstall this faucet with the new sink.

Is water supposed to slightly dribble for a half second after it's turned off (not a clean shut-off), then it will drip several times. This was installed by a professional.
Asked by: DJL
This was a much easier install than my Delta pull down faucet I bought for my other property. I love the simplicity of the design and the power boost feature. I have the same issue where the water drips for a few seconds after the faucet is turned off. I disconnected the faucet head, turned on and off the water, and it shuts off cleanly, so I suspect it's the faucet head. How do I get a replacement wand kit?

Is this or is this not a motion sensing faucet?

Many of the (negative) reviews refer to the motion sensor not working. From the product description for the 7594SRS, I think this is NOT a motion sense faucet. So what gives?

Customer Reviews

Arbor Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Power Boost in Chrome is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 691.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Customer Service I purchased the Arbor faucet about 3 years ago. After a couple years, the round cap at the lever (now redesigned) started popping off and I would have to re-attach it. After some time I couldn't reconnect the cap. I contacted Moen directly to address the issue. They responded to my concern immediately and offered to over-night replacement parts. Knowing that the faucet had been redesigned since I purchased mine (specifically the cap design was now one solid metal piece) I asked that they just send me a replacement faucet. The next day a brand new faucet was delivered to my door step. Sometimes you have an issue with any kind of product or service from any company. What sets a good company apart from a GREAT company is how they handle an issue when it comes up. I highly recommend Moen and their products. They deserve recognition to how they promptly handle any issues that may arise. They stand behind their statement of "Buy it for looks. Buy it for life."

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beginning to doubt Moen reliability I bought this faucet almost exactly 5 years ago. It began acting up after 3 years, and Moen replaced the main assembly (the control box - not the electronic module or the above the counter portion). It worked so-so since then. At random times since new, it would fail to respond to any motion. I would have to unplug the battery box and plug it back in to reset the faucet. Sometimes it would just turn on and run by itself for 20-30 seconds. The last time this happened, luckily I was home because it turned on and stayed on -- I had to turn off the water supply. I had to unplug/plug the battery box several times before it would turn off. Water flow in manual mode has always been very low. I have removed and cleaned the screens, which is itself a big pain in the butt, but that makes no difference. Now, the motion part of the faucet will not turn on at all -- even with new batteries. This faucet is way too expensive to not last 5 years. I'm just inside the warranty, so I'll give them a chance to fix this once and for all, but if I can't get it working with good flow, I'm done with Moen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could not install properly. I like this faucet. I like its features, construction and appearance. However, for us it had a flaw which made it unusable: the hose would not come out or retract properly because it hung up on things under the counter. The contractor and the plumber tried to find a way to prevent this but could not. Even when the weight on the hose cleared the other under-sink plumbing, the hose even tangled on itself. This was a new kitchen with standard under-sink plumbing and disposal. The faucet was installed with a Moen Lancelot double bowl sink. I think the plumber could have repositioned the cold and hot water supply as well as the drain pipes but there is no way I would pay for such changes on a new construction. So, we opted for a commercial style faucet (different brand since Moen did not have anything comparable) that has no under-sink hose extension. To conclude, a great faucet but make sure the plumber makes special arrangements with the existing under-sink plumbing to accomodate movement of the extension hose. Otherwise, stick with a faucet with no extension hose.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product has flaws The sensor on the front of the faucet should be completely eliminated. It is constantly turning on when I'm washing dishes or just draining pasta and it runs unwanted water all over my food. Since it doesn't conduct hot water, while I'm doing dishes it is constantly turning on and putting cool water into my hot water. If I turn the faucet to the other sink side it works fine because the sensor doesn't see movement but then I have to keep moving the faucet back and forth when I'm trying to rinse my soapy dishes to keep the soap off the draining dishes in the other sink. It can be confusing as well. Sometimes the bottom sensor turns the water on but you have to touch the top sensor to turn it off. I really feel this is a huge flaw and this sensor should be removed, leaving only the sensor on the top. If I hadn't paid so much for it I'd get rid of it and buy a new one. Also the batteries don't last very long and it takes a lot of batteries to run it.

Have had this faucet for 10 months now, the hose which goes from the water connections to the faucet head somehow got a small leak. I noticed there was air in the line over the last several days but did not investigate very far thinking it was just the system. So Saturday I decided to investigate further, upon pulling down the faucet head and turning the water on a small stream of water started shooting out. So at this point I looked under the sink only to find water standing and the bottom of our custom cabinets warped (bubbled). Moen will not pay for the repair of the cabinet which will cost us $785. It was good while it lasted which was 10 months, with their refusal to pay for damages and becoming defective in 10 months I cannot recommend this product and say beware of any Moen products. I'm sure mine was the 1 in 100 but fix it and make your customers happy and they wont leave bad recommendations!

It has great range around the sink with the option of a straight flow at two strengths or a spray option. It comes with a base which is not shown in the picture. The only thing that is difficult for me is that the faucet control is on the right side. I am not left-handed, but if I'm holding something in my right hand, I find it difficult to cross over with my left hand to work the faucet. I would suggest having the controls installed on the side opposite from your dominant hand if it is an option (I didn't notice or think about it until after using it for a few days). Finding other black matte finish items for the sink took some searching elsewhere. Overall, it is a wonderful faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features I had t installed by a professional, which I would recommend. Works like a charm. Of course, we did not read the instruction booklet and wound up shutting off both sensors by accident(the book tells you how to do that on purpose if you want to). So when I finally read the booklet after trying to figure out how to reset the sensors on my own. I read how easy it was to 'reboot' which I did, but without paying attention to the part that says that you can't have anything, including your body parts, within 3 feet of the sensors during the 10 second reboot time. So I called the Moen support number. James was extremely helpful and walked me through making sure the #4 filter was clean, which was easy to do. Any then he walked me through the reboot procedure, warning me to keep my body below the sink so as not to be near the sensors during the 10 second reboot. Everything now works fine and I learned a lot about the filter, the reboot procedure and how great support is. Thanks James and Moen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensor recaliperation... I just installed this unit and think it is amazing. I had one issue with the foward facing sensor. It seemed that every time I put something under the faucet, I would need to be about 2" away from the sensor for it to work. After reading the comments on this site, I found that someone else had the same problem. Fortunately, a Moen representative responded with a solution to this problem. So if you installed this unit and happen to notice that the forward facing sensor is not working as good as it should, then do this: "In regards to the Ready sensor, this may need to be rebooted if during the initial installation someone or something was within three feet of the sensor which may have impacted the calibration. The sensor needs a minimum of a three foot clear space to calibrate the sensor distance. To reboot the system remove all items from inside and in front of the sink. Remove the battery cable from the grey control box under the sink. Wait one minute, then plug the battery pack back into the control box. You will hear the water turn on and off. The faucet has re-calibrated and you may now stand up and test your sensors."
