It was costly to replace previous bath fixtures but ...
It was costly to replace previous bath fixtures but installing Moen fixtures were well worth it. Moen fixture works well and no problems so far.

I just installed, and am very disappointed.
I just installed this and I am very disappointed in the way the handle attaches, and how far it sticks out from the escutcheon. I think it looks very chinzy. The handle also appears to be wobbly, which it shouldn't be.

We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the gap between the handle and the escutcheon plate on your Moen Banbury Spot Resist Brushed Nickel Posi-Temp® Tub/Shower. There is a gap between the handle and the escutcheon plate to ensure the screws on the plate do not interfere with the operation of the handle. Depending on the installation, it is acceptable for this gap to be between ½” – 1”. Many times this gap is defined by the amount of room behind the shower wall the installer has to position the valve. Moen does offer an escutcheon extension ring that will work with a 7” round escutcheon plate, part number 162BN. This escutcheon extension ring will push the plate forward ½”. In regards to the loose handle on your Moen Banbury Spot Resist Brushed Nickel Posi-Temp® Tub/Shower, we would suggest checking to make sure the phillip screw and the hex screw (7/64” hex wrench required) are both tightened. Not a simple install even if you have Moen...maybe
So I already had Moen positemp systems for both baths. I bought this thinking I can just exchange the pretty parts since after 20 years the old stuff still functions perfectly. Sorta right..sorta not. Turned out my old spout was a slip on. I had to learn how to sweat the pipes and install a threaded fitting on the end. I was also a little disappointed in the appearance of the handle, (you will see in the photo) but it turns out this was due to the plumber who installed the original stuff not doing ...well, pretty much anything correctly... they did not mount the valve. They did not set the depth even remotely correct once I check some measurements, and looked more closely at it all. I decided for me, it's better not to remove the wall and fix this. So it sticks out some...a bit...a lot.

diverter does not seal
I bout the banbury 82910SRN show/tub kit. installed everything and checked for leaks ect, on the way everything is good until I am finishing up and install the spigot. Check for function the spigot diverter does not work and will not seal!!!!

Bought a diverter and the set screw broke!
Replaced my diverter and when I was trying to adjust it on the pipe the set screw broke. Now I cannot remove it as the shaft is broken. I have the old set screw that I can reuse if I can get the new unit off of the pipe without scoring the copper pipe!

The Moen PosiTemp shower handle appears to have a broken adapter kit 116653. Typically when the adapter needs to be replaced the cartridge (1222/1222B) is recommended to be replaced as well. Defective Valve ...
My professional (license contractor) remodel my small bathroom Moen Banbury (92910SRN) came with a defective valve. The most unfortunate part is that we found out the issue after we put all the tiles and caulking. It costs a lot to redo to the wall and tile and clean up.
