Rub a dub dub, I have a grab bar in my tub. Nothing like something to grab to get in and out of the tub. I have a rubber mat, but the porceline is still slippery getting in. The finish on it is great, it leaves no water marks or residue.. I had it installed vertically on a wall beam, Handy Man said ot was an easy install. He said first he had to drill holes through the wall tiles and did the rest with a galvanized wood screw.

A great product from the world renowned manufacturer, Moen. It is really a great product that can should be installed in the shower, if there is a an elderly person in the house: it can really help them have a support during the shower.

SUPERB GRAB BAR
The brushed nickel effect of this 24 inch X 3.25 inch escutcheon gives off a dull shine that is not at all disagreeable whilst soaking in the tub.
The assembly is quite straight forward other than the three small screws that hold the decorative cover. I did find one out of the three at each end a little difficult using the small supplied wrench key, but only because I couldn’t see it due to the restrictive space.
Because the bathroom wall is primarily a shower cubical that is alongside the tub, I opted to use 1/8 X 2 inch toggle bolts due to the ½ inch gap between the molded Vikrell material and the dry wall. To test the strength, I lay down in the tub and lifted my whole 200 Lbs. off the base with no problems at all to the fixings. Having two elderly people with one preferring the use the shower and the other the soak in the tub gives me confidence that all is good.
I did drop one of the tiny wrench screws and of course it hit the side of the tub, did a double somersault, spun around numerous times and despite my desperate and yet feeble attempt, only helped it to find its way down the drain hole. Why I was not surprised? It was then; after the proverbial horse had bolted did I cover the drain. It is an excellent idea therefore that the manufacturer supplied two spare ones in the kit.

Ordered because it matches the towel bars in our guest bath. Sturdy and attractive. Hired a guy to install because we did not have the drill bit necessary to drill through the tile. He was impressed with the quality of the product and ease of installation
