              Works well with current Moentrol valving...
              I remodeled my bathroom and I forgot to call a plumber to change out the shower valve, so I had to use the old valve which was a single-handle Moentrol valve. I looked all over the internet, but could not find a compatible chrome escutcheon until I found this one online. I installed this item and it worked great..!

              Simple hardware update makes all the difference in the impression!
              This is the push & pull knob type shower (not the turn lever kind), which is very old valve from the original build (circa 1980). I'm grateful that HD sells the trim to fit this old type because I can't afford a plumber to update the whole valve and everything. Simply changing the shower trim can make all the difference in the world to update the bathroom shower.
