Hensley Single-Handle 1-Spray Tub and Shower Faucet in Spot Resist Brushed Nickel (Valve Included)

After looking over all the different Meon and other brands faucet, shower kit, etc... I love the Meon design the best. I picked the Hensley because of the sleek design and lines that matches the handle design of the vanity I picked out. I am so glad that I went with the Hensley model. Installing this shower kit was a bit challenging. The tub faucet was too long and we had to add and solder an extension for it to catch and mount onto the water pipe in the wall. The shower head doesn't screw on all the way, exposing some threads on the pipe it is mounted on. Everything works perfectly, and I highly recommend it.

The spray is not powerful enough. I have shoulder length curly hair, so rinsing the shampoo and conditioner takes longer than I’d like. After about 2 weeks of use, the lever to switch water from the spout to the shower head has malfunctioned, so no longer completely stops the flow from the spout. Thus there is even less water pressure from the shower head! This product is attractive and complements my bathroom nicely, but in my opinion fails in workmanship.

You've heard the old saying....You get what you pay for. This holds true on this shower faucet. This faucet is a little more expensive than others, but I think it is worth it. The fit an finish is outstanding. As seen in the picture below, the valve is quite small which allows it to fit in tight spaces if necessary. The finish on this item is a little lighter than the typical brushed nickel. One of the things I like the most was the instructions. Along with the typical drawings and text, these instructions include actual photos. This really helped to make the installation go smoothly

We had started to paint our master bath and had planned to use the spare bath while the paint cured only to find the valve cartridge had seized, so now had no shower to use. Rushed off to HD, 30 miles away to purchase a replacement and decided to also replace the cheap universal trim the previous home owner had installed. Purchased this in store after reviewing the packaging, which stated it included a slip-fit tub spout, which is exactly what I needed. I even opened the box to make sure the parts were made of metal instead of plastic, but didn't happen to check the inside attachment type of the spout. Installed everything that Saturday night, leaving the spout for last only to find that it's an IPS/threaded attachment. Thought maybe the insert in the old spout was meant to be removed and reused and tried to take it out, ended up breaking and then finding out it had been glued in and not meant for removal/reuse. Called HD 10 minutes before they closed and they opened the other Hensley package on the shelf and found it was an IPS attachment too and said that Moen either made a mistake in printing the packaging or with what spout they'd included, but I could either buy all the equipment and supplies needed to sweat on a threaded attachment to convert my copper tubing (which was a sweated joint in the wall, so I couldn't just unscrew it to replace), or use a Sharkbite adapter. Couldn't get there before they closed, so skipped showering and made the 60 mile round trip the next morning, purchased the Sharkbite, the tool to remove it, and a pipe cutter to trim the pipe to accommodate the adapter and spout without being too long, after being assured it would work. Cut the pipe, attached the Sharkbite, threaded on the spout to find that the Sharkbite just spins and spins and spins so the spout easily spun off center....and it leaked out the back of the spout and down the wall. Took it off and used pliers to thread the adapter into the spout first as tightly as I could in the tight space, then pushed it onto the copper tubing. It didn't leak with just the tub spout, but did with the increased pressure when the diverter was engaged....and then because I'd threaded it on inside the spout, it just spun and spun and I couldn't get it off. Kept trying and eventually it engaged the threads enough to spin loose. Gave up and waited until Monday, putting off our painting project until my next day off (a week later) and had to risk ruining our freshly cut in master bath since the paint hadn't cured yet because we both had to work and hadn't showered in 2 days. Heard from Moen on Monday after sending an email over the weekend, and when I told the guy about all the extra trips to HD and expense and how frustrating this has been, he said I should have just waited to talk to them first.... Apparently the packaging is a misprint and they don't make this tub spout in a slip-on version and I was told I could hire a plumber to convert the connection, which I'd already asked around about and was told it'd be a minimum of $200, or he could send me a spout from another collection, but they were all almost 2" longer. I didn't want to have to take everything apart and pick out another kit since we'd already picked out matching faucets for this set, so I said to send a spout. Turns out that it's not in the water drop/fingerprint resistant finish of brushed nickel, so doesn't quite match and the enormous length looks ridiculous in our small tub, so now I either have to pony up $200 to have a plumber convert the attachment, buy all the supplies and learn to do it myself, or just take about the whole mess and return it to HD, put off our master bath project yet again and go through the entire process of picking out new fixtures that we like and will suit our bath. B+ for the quality, appearance, and finish of these fixtures; F for the misprint/misinformation on the packaging; B+ for the customer service; A+ for getting me a tub spout delivered before 10am the next day, but still if it didn't mean replacing the entire rough-in valve, I'd switch to a different brand in a heart beat after this experience, and probably will for the sink faucets of which we have 6 to replace including the kitchen and laundry.
