If you are using the valve body as a shower only application, the main valve body would be 45-48” from the floor, and the shower head would be 78” or more from the floor. If you are using this valve as a tub/shower combination, the tub spout main valve body would be 32” from the floor, and the drop down from the bottom of the valve body to the tub spout would be 6-11” inches. The Darcy tub and shower trim design says that it already includes the 1/2" valve. If you do not have the valve, then this one can be used.

The Moen 26112EPSRN Engage Spot Resist Brushed Nickel Six-Function Handshower is specified for a threaded ½” IPS outlet connection. I would really check with a plumber. We installed it with a tub/shower, and frankly it's been quite a while and I can't remember if it could be either/or. You might also check the Moen website-I went there for a lot of my information. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

This valve is designed to be used with a tub/shower combination as the flow is diverted up when the lower (tub flow) is blocked at the spout. You could plumb the lower flow to the shower head and then add a valve in that line to block the flow allowing the upper flow to divert to the overhead shower. The flow to the overhead shower would probable be just on/off. Also you would want to review the installation guide for this valve for minimum/maximum distances restrictions. Keep in mind that since other valves are available that are specifically designed to accomplish this you may wish to consult with one of the in-store plumbing associates before you commit to this arrangement. The Moen Brass Rough-In Posi-Temp Pressure-Balancing Cycling Tub and Shower Valve - 1/2 inch CC Connection cannot be converted to allow for volume control by using a different cartridge. Our Moentrol 3520 rough-in valve is a pressure balancing valve that allows for volume control. Installing a shower arm volume control will not harm the 2520 valve; but, it is not designed as a substitution for the control handle and should never be used as your main on/off control.
