One outlet on the Moen S3104 Smart Shower 4-Outlet Digital Thermostatic Shower Valve will produce a maximum of 6gpm at 45psi unrestricted, so this specification will need to be evaluated with the size of the tub in question. My contractor pointed out that the instructions recommend changing the filter every six months. My shower is hooked up to NYC water. Nothing should need to be filtered. How often will I realistically need to change this filter?

The Moen Smart Shower 4-Outlet Digital Shower Controller has a maximum flow rate of approximately 14gpm at 45 psi. It is designed to deliver 6gpm at 45 psi on any one outlet. We do not recommend connecting more than 3 body sprays per outlet and the body sprays need to be installed in a balancing loop.
