To request a cup of water at 100 degrees with your U by Moen Sleek Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Smart Kitchen Faucet with Voice Control in Spot Resist Stainless, you can use the command “ask Moen to dispense a cup of water at 100 degrees”. Your U by Moen Smart Faucet will start running and then stop once it reaches the requested temperature. Once stopped, activate your faucet by waving your hand over the sensor to dispense the amount and temperature you requested.     Hello Jennifer and thank you for your interest in Moen products. We are happy to assist you with the model 7864srs. The handle will tilt out to the side to turn the water on. The handle will move forwards and backwards. When the handle is tilted back it is hot. When the handle is facing up the water is warm, and when the handle is facing out towards you it is in the cold water position.     9/6/19. Update of flawed product review below: This new faucet was part of a countertop project....
    9/6/19. Update of flawed product review below: This new faucet was part of a countertop project. The faucet, which comes enclosed in protective foam, had scratches at the base that must have been done at the factory. See 8/25/19 comments below. I wish I could say otherwise, but Moen is sending me a replacement faucet base. This requires uninstalling the faucet, dis-assembling it and then re-assembling it and reinstalling it. I'm 69 and have a lower back problem, which is why I had a plumber do the install after the new countertops were in place, so I also can't do this base replacement. I asked them who would pay the plumber to install the new base and got no response. I have had Moen in my last two houses and it's always been a good experience, but not this time. I paid top price for a factory second that never should have made it into the box. I will post on other sites too. Compare the Moen with its modest # of reviews with the Flow motion activated faucet pull-down faucet with sensor at about $110 less. “Flow” is the brand name. The Flow Motion faucet at Home Depot has 2,757 reviews at 4.6 stars at another site, which will remain un-named, it has 2,319 reviews at 4.6 stars. 8/25/19: New out of the un-damaged box it had scratches near the base. Once my old countertops were removed and the new countertops were installed, I needed a faucet so I had no choice but to install it. Motion sense works but will only turn on / off at full stream flow. Splashes everywhere, way over-priced. Suggest you buy the Flow Motion Activated Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet instead at about $110 less than the MOEN. I wish I had.

    I had a licensed plumber do the install for me. It works great so far, sensor works exactly as stated. It's been about a month or so and no issues for me on this one. I understand that at some point through out, I will need to install new batteries for the sensor to work properly.

    A little pricey, but it looks modern and sleek. The matte black has a slight sheen to it, but it's nice and elegant. Do keep a microfiber by it and wipe it down often so the water spots don't stain the faucet. Moen cartridges are easy to replace and moen has great customer service(i usually email but they're good over the phone as well). 70% of our properties use Moen or another major brand and i've never had issues with either. The hardest part about installing this faucet was securing it to the countertop from underneath. It would help if you had a basin wrench which would make it so much easier to install. Water supply lines are built in so that saves you at least $20 in parts. It's braided, but I believe it's plastic and not rubber like it used to be years ago(not sure if this is better or worse) Remember to keep the area underneath your sink clear especially where the lines are or else the hose won't retract correctly.

    The unit's handle interferes with the items (DW Air Gap or Soap Dispenser) in the adjacent hole on the kitchen sink. Also, the sensor is much less sensitive than the previous unit I returned. Also, this faucet refuses to connect to my home Wi-Fi. Since I don't use either the Alexa or the Google devices, I cannot use the Voice Control features of the unit. Wonder if Moen will ever upgrade the capabilities to communicate with Siri (Apples' OS devices. Looking for alternatives.

    I love this faucet. There's definitely a learning curve...
    I love this faucet. There's definitely a learning curve with it so I need to find more "tips & tricks". It's great to have a certain temperature or certain measurement of water dispensed through it. It's also nice to be able to wave over it to have the water come out. I highly recommend it!
