Hello, tech support? You are MIA.
Instructions that come with the device can be summed up as how to power on, pair, etc. That's about it. I would expect more since a new user is likely to have some basic questions about use. I have learned more from some hiker's youtube vlog than Motorola/Bullit, but a lot of good that vlog will do me if I don't have internet access to find a solution to my use problem. I have reached out to tech support for some basic instructions, but a week+ later? Crickets. A return/refund is in the cards.

        Set your expectations low...
I really wanted to like this unit. It's cheap, both in terms of upfront cost and ongoing subscription. I figured that an entity like Motorola could make the economics work by leveraging scale. Sadly, it's not fit for purpose. In the trees, you get no satellite. So no worky. If I'm using this as an emergency beacon/communicator, it needs to work wherever I am (with the exception of deep in canyons, where it isn't reasonable to expect miracles). If you're in a treeless landscape, go for it.
          Amazing 2-way satellite messenger
Connected to satellite in no time and sent messages to friends via the Bullitt Satellite Messenger app. It was easy to setup and works like any messenger app. The time it took to send and receive messages over satellite was only seconds.

            Great value for emergency communications
I recently got my Motorola Defy Satellite Link, and I am very impressed with the durable design. I was able to setup easily and it comes with the essential plan 30 messages and sos assistance unlimited. I have used other 2-way messengers and nothing compares to the value of this offer. I sent several messages to my wife using the Bullitt Satellite Messenger application. Highly recommend this device.
