I used a DeWalt Grinder with the most narrow blade to do an entire fireplace and put stone around my kitchen window area. I'm ordering more of this ledger stone to put on 4 pillars in the den. In the picture, the ledger is over the mantel and I used travertine under the mantel. When I first started, I rented a wet saw from HD, but it really isn't necessary. I
Concrete backer board is what I used 1/2". Also use concrete screws to attach board.
