I put tile sealer in a spray bottle to put it where I wanted then worked it in with a sponge. I followed up with a dry towel to polish out any streaks.

You need to measure your rooms and come up with how many square feet you need. Then you can add about 10-15% extra (for tile cuts, broken tile etc) and that is total square feet you need. Then look at the specs on the box to see how many square feet each box covers. You can always return extra to Home Depot so it pays to err on the side of a little extra--but its heavy to lug back so don't get too much extra. But no one can help you unless you measure the rooms first.
