What is the approximate rock size in inches?

Has anyone used these polished stones in an aquarium as a substrate? Just polished or coated with something?

I have an area of 90 sq ft. How many bags of these pebbles will be needed to cover to a 3'" depth?
Asked by humbunny April 9, 2014The product description says each bag is about 0.5 cubic feet. An area of 90 square feet covered 3" deep would be 22.5 cubic feet, so you would need 45 bags of these pebbles. That would be about 1,800 pounds of small pebbles.
What is the approximate sq. ft. coverage of one 40 lb. bag if applied 2" deep?

how many rocks are in a 40lb bag
Asked by big billy December 4, 2012The people who sell these rocks say the bag contains one-half of a cubic foot of rocks. This would be enough to cover six square feet to a depth of one inch. Most of these rocks are more than one inch thick, which is why in a real-life application, the rocks in one bag will not cover six square feet.
