Product Details

Add a splash of contemporary styling to your decor with this Gauged Slate floor and wall tile. This first-quality tile makes a statement on floors, walls and countertops. Designed with a natural, unglazed finish, this flooring option features random variations in tone that create a stylish complement for a wide variety of design schemes. It is recommended for commercial applications but can be used residentially. Offering supreme style and strength, the skid-resistant tile absorbs less than 0.5% of water, making it a perfect choice for indoor and some outdoor uses. The easy-to-maintain natural stone tile inherently lacks uniformity, varying in color, shade and finish. Included per case are 5-pieces. Note: Inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer.
  • 10 sq. ft., 5-pieces per case; case weight is 60 lbs.
  • Grade 1, first-quality natural stone slate tile for floor, wall and countertop use
  • 12 in. width x 24 in. length x 9.6 mm thick
  • Natural finish with a low sheen and random variation in tone
  • P.E.I. Rating is not applicable for natural stone
  • Vitreous flooring has water absorption of more than 0.5% but less than 3%
  • C.O.F. 0.80 and above is recommended for commercial applications to meet or exceed ADA; highly skid resistant
  • Not frost-resistant
  • Residential and commercial use
  • GREENGUARD indoor air quality certified and GREENGUARD children and schools certified product
  • Don't forget your coordinating trim-pieces, grout, backerboard, thinset and installation tools

        A:  Yes! Fabulous tile and great for that feature. Just going to be a lot of cutting. Even thought of buying mosaic paper to attach them before thinset

            Montauk Blue Slate
            Love the look, but be aware there Is approximately a 1/8” variation in dimension between some of the tiles in all three directions. If you are concerned about lippage or variations in grout joints, consider ceramic. For the look of natural stone this is hard price to beat.

            Mudroom In Montauk Blue
            Extremely pleased with this purchase! The slate has a smooth finish with light texture / ridges you’d expect. I couldn’t find any good photos of the blue color, but the gamble paid off. Grout color is “dove grey” by TEC—also purchased at Home Depot.

                    We have purchased 800sq of the Montauk Black 12"x24" tile....
                    We have purchased 800sq of the Montauk Black 12"x24" tile. This is such an amazing product (so far) it was a third of what it would cost anywhere else. My installer did an amazing job and it looks spectacular.

                    Gorgeous Tile!
                    From the ordering to the installation, all went well and I am thrilled with the results. It fits the mid century look of our house. We had linoleum over concrete previously. The tile setter we hired was amazing and used a tile leveling system to insure there would be no lippage on any tiles. I highly recommend this brand of tile.

                      Product pictures inaccurate
                      One star only because the product images are not representative of the actual color. The stone itself is nice just like all the reviews say. I was concerned about color so I ordered two pallets of the Montauk Blue Ashlar pattern, hoping the blue would look like the images provided. In reality, Montauk Blue is actually gray. I will be heading to a local MSI retailer to get Montauk Black Ashlar for my mud room. In the picture, the stone that looks blue is actually the "black" stone, the gray is the "blue" stone.
