We are hoping to use this tile for a fireplace that has two short walls 90-degrees to the front of the fire place. Will we be able to miter-cut the tile to form the outside corner? Attaching a pre-installation picture for clarification.

How many 12 x 12 tiles come per case
For a 20’ interior wall, installing on top of 1/2” cement board do you have a recommended thinset? Additionally any notes on spacing and layout?
For installing Montauk Black Gauged Slate on a 1/2 in. cement board interior wall, use modified thinset meeting ANSI A118.4 or A118.15, such Mapei Ultraflex 2. A 1/8 in. grout joint is the minimum, but 3/16 in. is preferred to accommodate natural slate size variation. Stagger joints no more than 1/3 of the tile length, dry lay to blend color and size, back-butter each tile, and use leveling spacers for a flat finish. Good luck with your project!
