Q:I'm confused about the usage of this retro gray herringbone glossy tile. Is this appropriate to use in a shower floor? Some of the reviews say yes, some say no and some are for the bianco herringbone tile. Appreciate some clarification.

Q:I'm using this on the floor and niche in our shower. I'm also using the MSI Pearla Perala subway on upper walls in the shower and backsplash behind the sink/vanity. What color grout would you recommend to compliment both? I'm leaning away from white.

Retro Nice
The tile was reasonable. At this price point, be prepared. The tile was easy to cut if you have the proper wet saw for this type of tile. Based on my analysis this tile needed a professional person to install. It gave me the look that I was going for.

Inconsistent Colors WITHIN Individual Sheets
Where to begin. I ignored other reviews stating inconsistencies in color because I don't think anyone explained what's going on with these tiles. Yes, the color is a blue-ish gray, but that't not the real problem. From one box of tiles, all of the sheets appeared to be the same color. I thought I was a lucky consumer. By the time the tiles were cut, laid out, and grouted, the "inconsistencies in color" now became extremely obvious. Within some sheets, you can find two to three different hues, some sheets are all uniform and one of those hues, other sheets are uniform to a different hue.
It's an absolute nightmare (both with regards to time and money) that these inconsistencies are only extremely obvious once laid and grouted. However, if you study the tile REALLY closely, you can see the inconsistencies before you tile. Don't overlook this review and say, "it must have been an issue with the sealer this person used"--the inconsistencies are present before and after tiling. I simply did not study hard enough before installing. BUYER BEWARE!

The boxes are not marked with the dye lot. I contacted MSI and they did not have the dye lot info in their system. I did a dry install and there were at least 3 different shade variations. Unfortunately the tile had to be returned.
