Yes. They are supposed to click in, mine were very hard to get in and had to tap in with a hammer CAREFULLY without damaging wheel or holder. They were tight then. Not ideal.

Simply open the lid and remove any paper filter. i.e. bag or RIDGID type. If you have a foam filter, you can leave it however, I chose to remove it also.
Dear PeterO, Thank you for your questions! Yes, you may use this particular vacuum both for your shop and your home. Generally, our RIDGID wet/dry vacs can be used for anything that is not toxic or hazardous in the environment. Also, this vacuum has a built-in blower feature. To make it work, you will need to attach the hose on the blower port located at the back side of the lid near the cord entry, plug the unit and turn it on. Additionally, this vacuum comes with 1-7/8-inch accessories and hose. Please take note that we only suggest you use RIDGID accessories as we can't confirm compatibility of the accessories from other manufacturers. If you have further questions, please call our Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or send us an email at email@example.com and we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks, RIDGID Wet/Dry Vac Customer Support
To register your 18V vacuum you need to search under vacuums. It is not under the 18V power tools
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. As the manufacturer of the Vacuum (not the batteries) we're only able to give you rough estimates on how long this vacuum might last of a new battery. This can vary based on a wide variety of attributes from actual capacity of the battery, the number of charge cycles the battery has been put through, electrical draw from each vacuum, temperature of the battery, how the machine is being used to vacuum and the type of debris to name a few. The vac will run for approximately 3 to 3.5 per Ah (Amp hour) contained within the battery. Thus, with one 9Ah battery, the vac may run for 27 to 31.5 minutes and 54 to 63 minutes with two 9Ah batteries. Hope this helps. If you have further questions or concerns, you may call Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you, RIDGID Customer Support
Had the same issue. I called customer service. They were able to do it via phone. Try that
You need to go to the wet dry vacuum portion of the site to register it. It is not listed under the 18v tools portion. I had the same problem and it took some searching.
I am experiencing the same issue. I was using it on carpet and thought it was just static electricity. I have had my vacuum for over a year and this is the first time I noticed it.
