Asked by cathunter July 13, 2018No suction is lost until the paper filter fills up with dust. Then there is appreciable loss of suction.

Asked by GioSal March 10, 2020Hello GioSal, Yes, it's true that this wet filter foam sleeve is for select Genie and Shop-Vac brand of vacuums. You can't use this for RIDGID wet/dry vacs. We do have RIDGID wet foam filters for the RIDGID vacuums. For HD1200, you can use the VF7000 wet foam filter but you'll need to remove first the dry filter.
