3.5 Gal. Premixed Joint Compound

Product Overview

A Lightweight, ready-mix, vinyl based, joint cement used for embedding drywall tape reinforcement fasteners, metal corner beads, and drywall trim over wallboard. Also formulated for filling, leveling and finish coating, for skim coating entire wallboard surfaces, and for applying simple textures. Several advantages over the use of conventional joint cements include: (1) easier sanding, (2) lighter tools, (3) lightweight boxes, which also means easier handling, (4) less freight cost. Therefore, the new, lighter compound has the same volume per box as regular joint cement but weights significantly less. The new, lighter compound has less shrinkage. This will, in some cases, save the cost of a second bed coat, particularly on metal. All purpose (taping, topping, texturing), 25-30% lighter than conventional joint compounds. Excellent slip/workability. Excellent adhesion/bond.
  • Excellent crack resistance and low shrinkage
  • Easy sanding
  • No pinholes
  • Low VOC
  • Ready mixed
  • Better cold temperature adhesion

Answer

Yes it works well. I recommend using it in conjunction with a fiber tape to adequately mend and seal cracks. To prevent crack from eventually cracking through.

is it harmful if ingested
