I had a preformed pond before this one that I thought was going to support itself. A few days after filling it with water it shifted badly. I had to drain it and reset the whole thing. And that was just a little 40 gal pond. ‘ So no. I would not try that with this one. The work to fix it would be so much worse given the size of this one. So make sure you bury a portion of it, and/or support the remaining exposed areas with sand and/or dirt, then surround with retaining wall blocks.
No
It’s like 6 feet long so this thing is big. I think 5 feet wide... Check the details on the Home Depot website. It should give you exact measurements and depth.
No. No drain. If ever you have to drain it, you may have to do it the old fashioned way: siphon. Or, you can put a fountain in the bottom and aim the water out of the pond. I nearly accidentally drained my pond that way. LOL ... Luckily I caught it in time.
That depends on you. I didn’t want mine to be all the way in the ground as my dogs I knew would think it was just for them. I buried the middle deep section about 2 inches, then built up around it with retaining wall blocks. In the places where the pond curves, I filled with dirt. The frogs love to hide in that dirt during the heat of the day. And the dogs don’t dare try to get in.
Kinda. I mean, we had to MAKE it fit in my SUV but it was none the worse for ware when I got home. I just wouldn’t leave it in the car like that or the “bends” might not “unbend”. But mine was just fine!
